GDT: GAME 67 | Senators @ Canadiens | Playing with the Big Boys Now Part 1 Edition | Tue Mar 18 2025, 7PM | TSN2, TSN5, RDS

Turning point of the game: With the game tied 3-3, Green goes right back to Highmore on the PK after his disastrous performance on the previous kill (and really, his disastrous performance on the season).

The team has played great this year, but Green's lack of game feel and adjustments has been subpar all season and is frankly concerning, heading into the playoffs.

Another example is the 1st line that looked anemic all game, yet the coach waited until we were down 4-3 with 5 mins left in the game to adjust and move Zetterlund up to the top line.

Overall, not a big deal, but this was one of the most complacent and disappointing loss of the season. The team came out flat, with several player looking outright drunk and that's inexcusable.

Get Highmore out of here, demote Giroux, swap Hamonic for Jensen, tell Green it's not forbidden to make in-game adjustments. There's absolutely no reason why we should be down 0-3 in the season series vs the Montreal Canadiens. We're the better team, but simply haven't played, nor been coached like it.

Absolutely pathetic performance, Ullmark couldn’t hold one rebound, the big guns looked sick/lethargic.

Highmore needs to be banished back to the AHL. Gaudette does nothing really anymore.

Hamonic though is back into Norris form, Bathman with another good game. They really missed Jensen in this game.

Onto the game against Colorado, they need to bring their A game against them.

I’m convinced the amount of shit the Habs talk gets in our heads.

I think the soccer fans in the Bell Centre scared them with all the random noise they make, even when nothing significant is happening.

Lowest hockey IQ fans in the league without question.

At one point they actually got excited when the first empty net attempt missed and then bounced back off the end boards towards the net. Had to laugh.

It's not what refs call it's what they don't. There were 2 clear head shots: a late blind shoulder to the head and the other a cross check to the face. A very obvious hooking/holding clearly visible as the player tried to get to the net from the side boards in the Mtl D zone. A number of Late hits on our D etc... Too many one sided non calls to just say they were letting the players play.
Sounds like one team was playing playoff hockey and one team wasn't.

To be fair to Green, Pinto was in the box and we traded Norris. Who was he supposed to play on the PK? He used Giroux, Cozens, Greig… he was kind of out of options.

Should win games against mediocre teams below you. Actually. You should at least SHOW UP against mediocre teams below you.
I don't think they played that bad. Montreal played very well, but it's not like they heavily outplayed Ottawa all game. There were moments where they had us scrambling in our own end, but that wasn't the entire game.

Montreal were the better team tonight (Sens top line we’re invisible).

I don’t care for Montreal but I’d prefer for them to get into the playoffs over Detroit (or NYR). They’re going to be a scary team once Demidov and co joint the team.

Dude who the hell is this emotional after the first loss coming off a 6 game win streak? Relax.
