Good first period! Gotta rack up some possession time. If the refs are consistent in calling stick fouls we will definitely draw a bunch. Good pace so far too. GKG!

Unbelievable how many Maple Leaf fans there seems to be at Staples Center (watching the game on TSN). Geez, Toronto fans are everywhere, here in Montreal, a Leafs-Habs game at the Bell Center you will have easily one-third of the crowd rooting for Toronto (Toronto corporate-based season tickets...).

The best part about the Gaborik trade is going to be the PP. Everyone criticized the PP all year and the system was a bit passive but it was a skill issue, the Kings just had guys who had no business being on the #1 PP unit, now with a PP unit that features Kopitar, Gaborik, Doughty and Carter you are going to see more pretty goals like the one tonight.

Our #1 PP unit as as skilled as anyones.

Maybe I'm alone on this one, but the Kings play seems way too wide open. I like what I was seeing in the first 8 minutes or so, but the last 12 was a bit much. Lots of penalties to blame, hopefully period two they'll regroup.

Normally, Quick would have had that one. It got between his glove and leg pad. That's not usually an area he gets scored on.

They're not cycling it as well right now, though the Clifford line had some great possession at the end there.

The most noticeable change I've seen is how much open Kopitar is since Gaborik joined.

Yeah allowing 15 shots is unacceptable. Entertaining game though and I can't complain when the Kings are leading. Kopitar is on another level right now.

Lol Drew always speaking his mind. Lmao

(During intermission) Doughty calls bozaks line one dimensional and that he and his partner know how to shut them down

It's 17 degrees in Toronto right now. Would YOU want to be there?

The kings will wipe the leafs in the second. They had their little run. They're gonna slow down now. You can tell it's one of those games where a team throws it all in the first and is still down, they will be bad the second. Kings got this :)
