Ugh..... great time to play great hockey CBJ... We could draft 4th with a great chance for McDavid at #1 in the best draft class in a generation....

Slim to none chance of getting McChicken anyway. The Tankmasters will be the ones getting him. The Jackets will likely be picking no worse than 7th, and Jarmo can draft well ( even if it's the only thing he does do well ). I mean he did get Milano, and he was 16th, so...
And as you said, it's a very deep draft. There's more than just McEichel.

lol.... funny but apparently true, I can't believe all the years of losing to Detroit when it counted and when it doesn't carry the same degree of weight we beat them....

The biggest CBJ issue might be the head not the body......

The truest thing I think you've ever said.

And what ever happened to Emily in the fan question thingy? I liked her.

Thank you, I'm dumb often but not always.... ;)

As for Emily I don't know but the new host is very easy on the eyes!! :)

I could use a hot dude or two every now or then lol.

And every time I see that scar on Cam's face I'm really thankful it didn't catch his eye. Man that could have been really bad.

Oh my.... I was not aware of your gender.... I would not have complimented the new host in response to you had I known... sorry.

Why are we such a bad home team and a pretty decent road team?

My guess, sold out buildings on the road in a lot of arenas, easy to get up for that. And we play loose on the road and there are no family and business distractions. Playing to a dead crowd of 13k people at home is a let down. They usually play well at home against the big teams because there are big crowds...

Candidly, I've wondered the same myself.

Ironically, they seem to disappoint at NWA whenever it's sold out too ( specifically against opponents like the Rangers, Pens, Bruins, Hawks, etc )
This season they just suck at home, regardless if it's 13k or 18k+. Or even if the opponent is terrible. It's been very, very weird. It's to the point where I wouldn't be surprised if they lose to the Oilers tomorrow. And that's saying something
The attendance was actually very good for the 1st half of the season, but has gradually declined because the Jackets **** the bed every home game. Funny how NWA was actually kind of a tough place to play at for opponents the past 2 years. Nothing like that this season.

I should have clarified, they show up against the big teams, don't always win, but they play hard in the sold out games and have had success this year, wins over Pitt, NYR and Chi and Bos.

Boy, you really do hate fighting, haven't ever seen you say a good word about a fight or fighter. I bet you hope they expand the rinks to Olympic size too right?

As soon as I typed it I knew I would get a reply from you sooner or later.

Nope, don't mind fighting at all. But please continue to jumping to conclusions off minor statements. I want fighting in the game, it has a place as long as players like John Scott aren't in the league. I don't want us fighting during offensive sequences like we had (cycling down low).

Not sure what the Olympic ice has anything to do with it. But no I don't want it. Are you kidding? Teams play enough trap today on NHL ice, did you see Team Canada during the USA game? That would become every game in the NHL.

It wasn't exactly a break away...that happens to me in NHL 15 drop in all the damn time, haha.

At least we can agree on the Olympic ice, usually people that don't like physical hockey want the big ice surface

Hartnell is quickly becoming one of my favorite blue jackets ever. I'm hoping he stays for at least a couple more seasons and he even deserves to take the 'A' currently worn by Jack Johnson imo

I honestly don't think I'd even watch hockey if it was on the big ice surface. I've tried and it really sucks.

I'm a huge Hartnell fan as well.

He plays with a level of grit/chippy style of play which is a throwback to a different era.

He has a huge compete level and his productivity has been great this season.

This could be my fault. Boys are 2-0 since I changed my avatar. But, got to admit, it is always nice to beat the winged wheel, especially in their building.

Classic CBJ season.

Suck out lout for first half of season.
Use an excuse for why it happened.
Once you get far enough out, then play your best hockey and draft 5-8th.
Fans get excited because the team played so well in meaning less games.

REPEAT
