One we should lose. Tomorrow one we should win. I'd settle for that.

Should be an easy loss. I would expect CMac in net tonight, and Bob tomorrow since CMac was not good last week at home against the Avs.

Leafs helped by winning last night so we need to take full advantage of that.

I don't see the point in activating Murray from IR at this point in the season. Same with Boone. Just let them work out and strengthen themselves up for next season.

I understand this mindset, but then why not extrapolate it to the rest of the roster. Let's not play anyone we don't want to get hurt.

Murray and Jenner need to play at the NHL level to get better. Whenever they can. If they're healthy, they should play.

If they're 26/27, I'd agree. As it stands now though, they need to be playing for development sake, with this holding especially true for Murray.

except for the fact that they are incredibly young and just sitting them out for the rest of the season isnt going to help them develop as NHL players as all

Gotta let the kids play, develop, and get better

I agree.

I stand corrected.

No, you expressed a valid opinion, shared by more than a few around here.

Let's do it. Tank it up. Only 16 games left. Improve those odds!

These two have been so banged up (Calvert too) the last couple of years. 16 irrelevant games to possibly put their long-term health in future jeopardy? I mean if they really are 100%, I guess...but it takes some time to get into "game shape." All for a meaningless string of games the next month.

That's how I feel about it. If there were 3 months left in the season or if we were going to be in the playoffs, sure. But with Murray's injury history and backs being as delicate as they are (in Boone's case, of course), I would prefer to see them rehab for the final 16 games and continue that into the off season. I don't see playing for a month and then having 4 months off vs. having an additional month off to get 100% healthy really affecting them on being NHL players or "non-NHL" players.

The games aren't meaningless when you consider their importance to the development of the player. Why is their long-term future health in jeopardy? Are you suggesting that the team is putting guys out there while they're still hurt? (A valid concern, but I personally can't believe it.) because otherwise they're no less likely to get hurt than Dubinsky or Johansen or whomever. Should we sit Dano and Wennberg so they don't get hurt? Young players need these games. They'll be better for it next time they play in games that aren't "meaningless."

Believe it or not, all of Murray's major injuries have been on different body parts. Maybe he has Klesla-itis but short of a time machine to get him to drink more milk as a kid, sitting him isn't going to cute any potential Klesla-itis.

Maybe after they replace all the cheap parts he will go uninjured! :sarcasm:

If CMac starts in net, we get taken to the woodshed. If Bob starts, it'll be close but the result will likely be the same.
