I hope so. It’s too early to tell but one has to love the way he currently plays and his (unusual) career trajectory.Schmid with .927 + 1.91 numbers. Goalie of our future?

He might be the goalie of the present if VV sucks tomorrow. And I've been loathe to make a rookie the #1 going into the playoffs but we're heading that way it seems. It's not as if VV has any track record of carrying the mail, we're in uncharted territory with any of these guys to different degrees.Schmid with .927 + 1.91 numbers. Goalie of our future?
I just realized we have Blackwood, totally forgot about him.
No as they would have game in hand, I believe.Would we be in 1st place on the ROW tiebreaker if we win in regulation tomorrow ?
f*** himI just realized we have Blackwood, totally forgot about him.
I think we're past that at this point unless Schmid has a couple of bad games in a row. Unless he's only up here on emergency recall the way Clemmensen was, and that was the excuse for sending him back down to the minors when Marty got back.f*** him
Unfortunately I was just reminded of him too and now I might need to take a pill.....
Imagine sending him back to Utica whenever #29 gets healthy again.
Imagine being sent back not just once for him, but TWICE. That would be the coup de grace right there,
He's been the best goalie on the team this year, though in a MUCH smaller sample size than Vanecek. He hasn't played nearly as much as him.
But he hasn't played much less than Blackwood this year at this point and the results are FARRRRRRR better.
Nico is fine guys

Of course they'd have to clear a roster spot to carry three goalies and I doubt there's anyone cut-worthy among the skaters. Probably some 'injury' would clear space if they need it though.
It's also adds to abundant proof that good teams can make average goalies look good, and bad defensive teams can make average goalies look bad. I don't think Quick is as good as his shutout, nor as bad as his time in LA.Jonathan Quick having a shutout (against Carolina no less) is more proof that bad goalies can even get them and every single game doesn't have to be bad for a goalie to be a bad goalie. Although it's been close enough to that for Quick as of late.
But he also had another shutout earlier this season.
I saw that all their goalies are injured now and saw they were down to just him and figured that could be a beating. Vegas makes their goalies look a lot better, as Hill and Thompson are mediocre goalies propped up by Vegas, but I still expect him to look ugly there, if not quite as bad as LA.
Man, all their goalies are injured. Lehner was ruled out the entire season back last summer. Thompson got injured right after all star break. Brossoit came up and got injured after 3 or 4 games. Hill is now injured. They've had rough goalie luck this year, but most of it has been just recently.
They've had 3 goalies go down hurt in the last 4 or 5 weeks.

I know youve been down on Blackwood recently but I still think his 5x5 extension (its a really good gamble if he can stay healthy and there wont be another pandemic in the next 5 years) is realistic and not related to how Schmid plays. We could go into next year with full on Dallas plan and pay our 3 goalies something short of 10 million.f*** him

And the majority of ppl only recognize that 5%

lol Still manages a breakout game even with the turnover. If that isn't the most Sevo shit
I don't disagree, but I think he is close to as bad as what he was in LA. He may just be getting a charge out of playing for a new team and this being his potential last run of games. Not that I think he would go unsigned this summer. I think there'd be teams looking to sign him. Maybe even Tampa to backup Vasilevskiy? Or Lou to backup Sorokin lol. I've been talking about him as a potential backup to Vasilevskiy in Tampa for a while, if he chooses to keep playing. Vegas might keep him around if he does well there. It's also adds to abundant proof that good teams can make average goalies look good, and bad defensive teams can make average goalies look bad. You're right, I didn't realize you could have more on the roster lol...usually cause teams are so capped out they can't even afford to have more than 23. Hell we probably can't afford to have too many more as it is.Wait
I thought there was no roster limit after the deadline? Is this something that was also done away with in very recent years?
I thought we could keep all 3 up with no problems?
