Just turned the TV on and saw Connor Brown miss a wide open net and then saw Skinner fumble a puck right to the tape of Thompson who scored a floater over him.

I’m not sure what the deal is with the Sabres and the Oilers but this is one team we never seem to be able to beat.

I guess this is one of the teams they think they can just put their skates, on throw on the jerseys, go out and skate a few laps and expect the two points.
Team is actually playing pretty well, unlucky, but they are skating circles around the sabres.

Lots of jump for the boys and a great start.

RNH doesn't clear the zone but instead decides to take the puck deep in his own zone? Near disaster.

Rebound control again a problem but the effort was there for the guys up front.

That is such an Oilers period. 3 posts, 2 of which were on wide open nets and then Skinner lets in a goal on a terrible rebound on a shot from just inside the blue line.

Lets see if this team's still in a slump. The old Oilers would have had a period like that and then just kept pressing and eventually broke through filling the net.

Another terrible goal by Skinner. Should get first assist on it. Oilers completely dominating the game but losing 1-0 because Skinner is inept. He'd still be looking for that puck next period.

Credit to Buffalo fans. They seem to appreciate hockey and still supporting team through dark decades and even cheering on both teams (although Oiler fans in attendance too. Nice that they have Tage Thompson to cheer for. Special player, hope he stays healthy this time.
