Dano, Wennberg, Rychel, etc.... All reasons I don't understand why we have so many forwards signed to long, big money contracts. Either no room for the good, young players or we have to pay guys way too much to be playing on the 3rd/4th lines.

Friesen...these kids are still young...too early to be upset about paying productive vets legit money.

Obviously Rimer doesn't remember the Devils penalty that broke the streak of straight pp's for the Devils.

Dano looks like a keeper. Wennberg to Dano - a glimpse of the future.

Dano has really impressed me here lately. I like the kids play.

Reasons aside, I like seeing some of our youth playing when the playoffs are nearly out of hope... Bob needs the work right now but I'd like to see some goaltending depth going forward too..

Not when they are signed for as long as they are signed for. Be a completely different story if they were signed for a year or 2.

Because they'll be probably be signed to 2-3 year bridge contracts after their ELCs... 5-6 years before they get a third contract if we go by the current management pattern.

You do realize Wennberg, Dano, Rychel, Milano, etc will be RFAs playing for just a couple million each for years...right? You don't become a UFA until you are 27 or played seven years in the league.

You're not suggesting the kids be given spots? I think they should have to earn them. No way do I trade Anisimov to let Wennberg or Dano play.:sarcasm::laugh:

I like that Savard stepped up and stood up for him there. However, if you're going to stand up for him, maybe throw a couple of punches next time. That situation isn't the proper time to hug it out.

And by that time, the guys on big money contracts now will be ready for Shady Acres.

What does that have to with having room in the lineup for them?
