Laine did not exactly come out of Columbus healthy. We’re probably now seeing some unresolved issues that perhaps can be addressed by Habs medical staff doing a more thorough evaluation and closer monitoring. It’s definitely concerning.

Runny nose is a cold.. The Flu is supposedly worst in that it knocks you out into bed.

That said, the guy's "Flu-Like Symptoms" seem to be far too recurring to not be an issue.

if you get the flu vaccination you will still get the flu but the symptoms will be much milder. All players should get it.

Depends on the season. Some season the Flu vaccine is BS, like efficacy of 20-30%. Others it's more effective. That said I never took that one, mostly because I've caught the Flu maybe once in the last decade. It's a rare occurrence for me. I use to get Colds all the time though. Since the covid shots however, nada... Some crazy cross-immunity stuff If I had to guess.

Basically the flu vaccine that is done seasonally is just to get the strains they predict are going to be passed around, that's why efficacy can go down.. I don't get the flu shot because I am usually lucky and don't get it. But if someone is susceptible, they should definitely get the extra protection.

I have to say first for foremost that most folks on here are absolute rabid die hard Habs fans.
I witnessed Beliveau skate the cup around Chicago Stadium ice in 1971 and from that moment on I was hooked.
Fast forward 54 years later and I have to admit....I no longer care about this team....the mediocre hockey for the better part of 2+ decades has worn me down to where I barely watch anymore.
I truly commend you guys for continuing to have the passion because mine is gone.
