That stuff is crack. The deli around the corner from my job has every Haribo product ever made.

They are too good. I only indulge around the holidays these days or I would put on 40 lbs.

Yeah too much of them will also make you sick.

I would forfeit and leave the piece of shit NHL holding the bag on their big national broadcast.
Playing short handed like this so many games in a row is going to exhaust the guys and increase the likelihood of more injuries. f*** this league. They’d probably take away draft picks for 10 years if they forfeited. And fine Dolan millions. f*** em.

Being short isn't gonna help the D, probably will actually help our forwards as the top 9 will get more time. My hope is that Shesterkin rises to the occasion and gets back in the groove win or lose. Hopefully this team nuts up and gets the win though, its an uphill battle though.

Not having a waiver eligible forward is kinda hurting us, we could have put a guy down and called up a d by now.

Can someone explain to me like I'm 5 why we can't put Hajek in the lineup as a 6 D? Are there still Salary Cap issues? Is it because we have to count Lindgren and Miller's salaries AND Hajek's salary if Hajek plays? Is there really no way around playing 5 D especially if Motte is out?

Edit: I guess Motte's salary would also count.

Here's best as I can piece together:

League is arguing that the NYR could have recalled a player for Lindgren and Miller and have been cap compliant. They had the space, they chose not to use it because they were banking it for Kane.

Therefore, the decision to play with less than 18 skaters previously was not an emergency but a strategic decision made by NYR. Therefore none of those games played with less than 18 skaters counts as the emergency trigger game (need to play 1 game w no cap room and <18 skaters to trigger an emergency and be eligible for a recall the following game).

Once they traded for Kane on Wednesday, they no longer had cap space for recalls. I would have thought playing that night would have triggered the emergency situation. However, it seems like somehow all the injured/suspended players that were not NEWLY out but CONTINUED to be out (i.e. Lindgren and Miller) did not "count" for triggering the emergency situation. This is NOWHERE in the CBA that I have seen.

Once Motte was injured vs Ottawa, that is a NEW out player that apparently will allow for triggering the emergency situation. However, since he didn't start that game as a scratch, that game did not count as a the trigger.

Today will finally count as the game NYR are playing with no cap space and <18 skaters due to the new Motte injury.

So on Thursday they should get an emergency forward recall + Miller will be back from suspension, making for a full lineup.

EDIT - And yes, Motte, Miller, Lindgren salaries all count against the cap. Don't think Lindgren is on IR but even if he was players on IR still count against the cap. It is only LTIR which allows teams to go over the cap but that requires 20 days and 10 games missed.

As an aside - Miller really f***ed the team with that stupid decision. So frustrating.

Analysts already saying zib will get moved out of the bumper by the playoffs. Even they can see how stupid this pp setup is already. Yes, I'm going to keep complaining until it is fixed

The way to fix the pp setup is to go 5f.
And I get how much that sounds like heresy but panarin runs it from the top alot anyways, and you're then fairly balanced, and it gives the kids fox instead of trouba or miller, gives them a top flight distributor, and lets not have one of kk or laf on the bench on the PP.

All that being said. Gallant will never in a million years do it on purpose.

Mikkola and Schneider need to play more today than on Thursday.

Fox is going to be exhausted and they need Harpur on as little as possible.

20+ minutes should be the baseline for those two tonight. No excuse to not get them on more than they've been.

I don't understand why the league is so harsh on the Rangers but are ok with Coyotes trading for injured players to reach the cap floor.

That’s gotta be rough on your teeth though? Lol. Damn.
They soften first, lol.

Because Gary Bettman does not like James Dolan. Don't underestimate rich people's ability to be petulant babies.
