Also anyone suggesting we controlled that period is off their rocker.

Sure, we outshot them with a bunch of meaningless, non-dangerous shots. But they controlled possession and dominated in scoring opportunities.

We got handled that period.

100% we had no dangerous chances, they had a bunch where they missed the net

Other than the goal, we played well.

They're bullying us a bit, however, which is troublesome.
Playing a physical game is extremely exhausting especially short handed. Wouldn’t be surprised if gallant had a hand in us not playing very physical these past games. I’m sure when they’re 100% healthy they will go back to their normal style of hockey

Remember when Chytil was getting 8years / $6M?

I'd give him 3 years 4M or give him 1 year.

if bertuzzi had hooked him he woulda been fine, those are fair game today for bos all day

I told everyone this and I was derided. The kid line doesn't exist for the team's benefit or the benefit of those players. It exists because Gallant is scared to do anything else with those three players. It's his safety valve. He's like a father who is really scared to give his teenage daughter the keys to the car for the first time. He knows eventually he will have to do it and most likely everything will be OK but he's going to do everything he can to delay actually doing it as long as possible. It's so much easier to just roll Kane/Panarin out there because at least that's something that worked years ago.

How can you possibly blame Igor when a player is left alone in the slot 6ft away?

Because not every shot from 6 ft away is some unstoppable juggernaut of a shot? Goalies need to make big saves. The guy on the other end has his team on a historic streak by doing that every game. Our guy has done that in 0 games. The first good chance Boston gets they get scored on. Were you expecting Boston to go a game with no chances? Shesterkin has been a complete landfill this year. He's been AT BEST just there and quite often a liability. There's an article in the Athletic that according Vally's stats he has stolen a grand total of ZERO games all year. We're playing an all time great team that we kept to nothing all period outside of one f***ing chance. And our goalie can't make the ONE chance he faced. We expected to get dominated and wanted him to help us win, instead we were the better team and he still can't make one big save.

I think like every young player he has shown flashes of a quality NHLer. But like the rest of our young guys. His shit play are way more frequent then his quality play.

Schneider is kind of a weird player. He has a good shot and good instincts in jumping up on the rush, but he’s a very bad puck mover. Throws the puck away a lot and doesn’t make nearly enough positive plays with the puck

And he’s average at best defensively.

He’s a passable #6 right now, not much else

It could also be that he sees what we all see how they constantly defer to the vets when he breaks them up. It's a Catch-22, but at some point they need to grow up & be able to play with other linemates.
