Just lol. Any team in the NHL can beat any other team on a given night.

The Ducks are 25-2-2 since Christmas, so while that is usually an appropriate cliché, there has been a VERY long stretch now where no one could beat Anaheim on any given night for over 2 months now.

I just hope the streak comes crashing to a halt on Saturday.

i hope it comes to a halt tonight and that it is the start of a losing streak

Its a b2b for the Habs and the Kings have had 3 days off, they should be itching to rip into the Habs, unless they're saving themselves for the Ducks on Saturday.

Or we'll come out slow in the first and slowly get back to speed. Seems to be the way things go when we get a long break.

Anyone has a chance of getting struck by lightning every day. Just a minuscule chance.

Good teams are supposed to win against ****** teams, and there is a high correlation between win percentage and how skilled a team is.

Actually, 4 teams apparently did.

Big difference between ought to win and will win.

People here are very fond of hyperbole and absolutes. "Our defense is complete trash", "Brown can no longer play hockey", "this game is a must win", "there is no way the Kings can beat Chicago with this lineup", etc, etc

To LA's credit they did just beat Calgary, Edmonton, Buffalo. had the kings dropped even one of those games people would have been screaming their ***** off.

Those were not even easy wins like they should have been. Those wins were pretty damn ugly and hard fought.

i will not care about this one if lak wins the next one against anaheim. the ducks are pita, the real obstacle, lak had 5 games with ducks this season, 2 of those went to ot and 2 to so, tight games but anaheim is ahead by some margin. must handle those first, eastern teams are half games now in terms of importance. otherwise 1-0 tonight, but not sure who will win. or 2-0 into empty net.

LOL, the criticism of Brown is a hyperbole? Gee, I guess I was imagining things when Darryl Sutter was bumping Brown down the lineup and reducing his minutes and special teams ice time.

His shooting percentage is the lowest it's been in his career, so yeah, clearly there is nothing wrong with Brown's performance.

Excited to see what Versteeg can do. Should be amped up to go from a downtrending Canes team to LA.

No mercy for the Habs. 50 years of losing to them, this is the time to tilt that back a bit.

Knowing how these games usually go, Montreal will look like the greatest team in the world, Scrivens will get a 50 shot shutout and all their goals will all be fluky bounces.

Carolina is not making the playoffs this year (even with versteeg and Staal) but they are not downtrending.

That's fair. I meant relative to where they were earlier in the season when they were 4th or 5th in the conference, to end up as sellers at the deadline. Maybe slumping would have been more accurate.
