Keeping the UFA's like Armia and Dvorak should get them to play even harder if they want to reup with the Habs (Armia does).
Meant the team in general, Suzuki put the team on his back for 5 games to change managements mind, can he do that for another 20+ so it wasn’t a waste of assets or is there a collective sigh of relief now followed by mediocre uninspired hockey.

Due to Ottawa winning in OT today, Montreal can't get out of 10th spot. At best there will be a three-way tie for WC2 between CBJ, NYR & Montreal all with 68 pts.

CBJ 8th due to points percentage. NYR 9th due to RWs. Montreal 10th.

We need 2 points tonight.

I'm expecting the bold, they played with urgency to not get the UFA sent away and now that pressure is gone so...

I'm asking to the experts here what are Flames today. My image of the Flames is a team that misses the playoffs often by a small margin. They are a team who works hard, it's been their identity for decades like the Bruins except they are always missing the top talent, the Pastrnak-Bergeron-McAvoy-Marchand of the Bruins. The best talent they had in memory was Monahan and a team like this is cursed, he was injured many times. Did they changed since? Am I missing a top talent that could be a game changer or this is a team that works hard every shift, every inch of rink, and they are unlucky, they don't make the playoffs.

Flames top end talent is Wolf. Doubt he gives up more than 1 tonight.

It is possible. Didn't think Evans had a good game on Thursday.
