He's already won a cup & been to another Finals. With his recurring injuries, he might not be interested in the grind of the NHL playoffs. He has another off-season to continue to rehab, build strength & come back healthier next season.

Yesterday’s GDT was another classic: hairy feet, foot fetishes, Only Fans, posters’ hairlines, pickles, buns for hamburgers, burger recipes, birds with sexualized names, shaved vs. unshaved ugh … undercarriages and related tastings thereof.

He won his cup. I gotta imagine now he's comfortable playing and doesn't want to have to uproot his family.
It's more respect to the military personal, but if he was traded, he'd have to almost certainly uproot his family and then do it again just over a year from now.
Now, he's likely got another year before it happens. Let his family stay, see where his next contract is and go from there. He would have to live out of a (high-end) hotel and rarely get to see his family, but it's only for a few months.

Bedard just got his third goal of the night and tied a hat trick record for the Pats set by Jordan Eberle. CB's shot is insane, the puck was in the net before the goalie even moved his glove hand.
