On one hand, it's nice to get a W on the second night of a B2B. On the other hand, the boys need to step on the metal to keep rolling.

I wouldn't be surprised if this winning streak went on to become a record too.

Mark my words: the Cup is coming to the Buckeye State this year.

Uh, really? After almost blowing two leads in the third period in back to back nights? We have yet to play a good 60 minute game out of the break.

Yep, but, step on the peddle or get more mettle... well, some silver cup metal or a gold medal would do too…. 

Gaborik draws a lot of attention from the opposition defense and creates a lot of space for his partners, that allows Arty to score recently.
In Toronto Franson took a hit on Anisimov and went right back to Gabby, leaving Arty wide open.
Tonight when Arty scored the 4th goal Daley didn't pay any attention to the play, he was just covering Gaborik all the way.

Good point.... decoy's can be useful, mostly when used hunting but if it works in hockey that's good too...

I didn't see that play the same way. I think at this point it's bad scouting if guys are keying on Gaborik.

Just watched the replay. Daley was following Gaborik all the way to the blue line even after Gabby passed the puck to Prout. If he went back to the net he could have met Arty there. He was covering Gabby even after the goal was scored.

Good to get 2 pts tonight! Now I am looking forward to a road trip Saturday to Nashville! Love that city.

Not many games we're going to get 4 goals on 20 shots. We need to control the puck better and produce more scoring chances if we want this streak to continue. Otherwise, the law of averages will take effect.

Europe. Somewhere.
Not a perfect performance, but 2 points and Detroit lost. It couldn't possibly have gone better from a bottom-line perspective. I'd like to see them step on opponents' throats, but it's pretty typical for teams to play far too conservatively when they get a healthy lead. Although coaches might say otherwise, I think 30 outta 30 feel more comfortable trying to prevent 3-0 becoming 3-1 rather than trying to make it 4-0.

First game I attended this season, kids were happy we sat in the attack twice end so we had solid action all night.

We are doing alot of things well, but we are not playing at the same level we were a month ago.

Boone Jenner was our best forward last night, playing huge for a rookie. Physically he is a tall order for any defenseman when he plays like this.

Anisimov is a close second, playing with a great deal of confidense right now. The Gaborik presense on that line should not be discounted, but Foligno does not look engaged.

I'd actually like to see #11 and #71 swapped.

4th line is huge again, starting every period full throttle.

Bob was sharp, the goals weren't softies and that 2nd period was all #72 and #6.

Nikitin was the warrior of the night, dude flat out took a beating and kept getting up and doing his job.

To me games like last night reinforce why Nikitin hasn't been traded, he was the best defenseman on the ice. I enjoy seeing the team win when they don't play extremely well.

I was also extremely impressed by Nikitin. I thought the whole defense played pretty well last night, but if I had to pick one that played the worst, it would be Wiz. But I didn't think he played poorly.

Was also impressed with Savard last night. Made some great plays that saved scoring chances.

Still a few guys we need to wake up though, Cam Atkinson being the one most obvious, unless you went out of your way to keep an eye on him, you wouldn't have noticed he was even out there.

Atkinson with Calvert vs without, big difference it seems.
