Do they still have a defensive system? It seems like they've been drifting away for a while.

Defensemen retrieve the puck, don't have the personnel for that, and pass it to a forward in the defensive zone for the breakout. It changed from last season where the Bruins had defensemen carry the puck out of the zone, my guess is because they wanted to limit odd-man rushes.
