new teamates, no time to get aquainted or practice, you want your new guy to feel comfortable with his teamates before going to war.

These guys always jump in right away. Sometimes straight from the plane. I’d be surprised if he isn’t in there

Bullshit. there's no way there's 542 hockey cliches. they came up with 6 or so and called it a day.

You got me. You've uncovered my whole charade.

1. You know, we just went out there and played our game and had fun.
2. Yeah, we didn't get pucks in deep tonight and didn't get our forecheck, didn't move our feet.
3. Our goalie was great, bailed us out a couple of times, and we were fortunate to put some pucks in net.
4. We didn't shoot enough. You miss 100% of the shots you don't take. Have to score dirty sometimes, get more traffic in front.
5. You're never out of it. If we win a couple of games, we're right back in it.
6. We didn't play the full 60 minutes, it's what happens.

I have no doubt Franky V will play tonight, coming off a two goal game.

Not sure if Frankie the Pisan will play today but he better be in on Saturday to represent for St. Joseph’s Day. Maybe he can take practice shots in warmups using sfingi.

He went to school with Tuba LOL
Where was this? They went to different high schools and colleges

Remember when Derick Brassard, Derek Dorsett, John Moore joined the team after we traded away Marion Gaborik and I think they all scored that first game without any practice?

Let the guy play. He's hot after a 2 goal game. Let him roll.

Play Frank!

What the hell. Its hockey, not brain science.

It's not like anyone of the 4 players he would be replacing is playing any better
Think about that for a sec. If Vatrano gets shoved in, and WHOMEVER gets taken out KNOWING Vatrano had no practices......well, that kind of says alot.

Not sure how many but Vatrano seemed to get quite a few against us.
I'm hearing Panthers announcer saying "Vatrano scores" in my head as I type.

You forgot the individual cliche.

"I just go out on the ice and try to help the team win hockey games"

Nearly 3/4 of season over, gonna have to savor each and every game a bit more. Yeah, yeah PO's are coming but even still. It has been amazingly enjoyable thus far (despite all the nitpicking) winning is NICE and so much better than losing. In addition, the majority of games have been tightly contested. Rare blowout games on both ends of the spectrum. Those have a tendency to be boring, especially the losses.

That makes zero sense. Whether it happens today or Saturday, everyone knows it's going to happen. He wasn't brought here to play in the AHL.

The players aren't going to be surprised when a UFA who was traded for at the deadline.... *gasp*.... plays hockey on the team.

Can I help?

7. We got a lot of looks and the game was closer than it seemed.
8. You have to hand it to them, the other team played well.
9. We took too many penalties and it ruined our momentum.
10. I thought we played well in the third.
11. We've got to get more traffic in front of the net.

This team has been very special to watch. One of my absolute favorite years as a Rangers fan.
