If you're aiming for the cup and you see how bad he's playing this year, how could you not? That said, he can still convince me to want to keep him as we have 20 some odd games left.

Your acting like he's some seasoned vet. He has played in 162 NHL regular season games to this point. So he's basically just finishing his second year. He's not had a good year but you also don't give up on him when he's as young as he is.

3rd year in the league after a brilliant sophomore season and got a big contract in the offseason.

besides, its not like the kings have never traded anyone they think got lazy after getting a big contract...

You'd be fine trading away Voynov for 20-40 games of Girardi???

And this wouldn't even be an issue if he wasn't suffering what almost every player on this team has dealt with this year and that's a horrible shooting percentage.
It's not an excuse it's a fact of life that most players in their first few years have ups and downs.
And I'll say it again it's too early to give up on him. It's a bad year and they happen. Now if it continues into next year then that would be a problem that needs to be dealt with. But right now why are you in such a hurry to right him off?

People here have advocated trading every player on this roster at some point this season except for Doughty. Yes, even Quick and Kopitar. It's a joke.

He's just a system goalie and 10 plugs could equal Kopitar's production and impact.
