Apparently, McDavid and Ekholm have had to have been on intravenous liquids after the 4N.

But in the classic Oiler way, they play them in back to back games right after the tournament, and when they both play like, sound like and still look like shit, keep playing them on a gruelling eastern road trip.

Oilers have to be one of the worst teams in the league at managing their players. But then nothing would surprise me when it comes to management and the Oilers. It’s an oxymoron. Only the Oilers could’ve f***ed up player management as badly as they have during the McDavid years.

Case in point, Savoie is scratched. They literally learned nothing from the offer sheet fiasco this past summer. With the inflating salary cap, the power has swung back to the players so maybe let’s not jerk our only viable rookie prospect around that’s capable of playing NHL games.

It seems every time we bring in a coach they do well for about 18 months or so and then the wheels just fall off.

But I will say that I place more blame on Jackson and Bowman completely f***ing up this summer than KK. I’m just frustrated that the team has taken on the personality of the coach, but I’m willing to give KK some more rope.

Complaining about the players in the media and then putting out the exact same lineup with the exact same lines the very next day is very puzzling though.

Pretty much 70% of the players on all teams got some sort of virus at 4N. Please tell me how many were scratched after wards?

I could care less what anyone says to the media. Actions speak louder than words. I suspect someone is influencing his decisions. Wouldn’t be the first time for this team.

I’m pretty sure there’s a super virus going around. I caught something in Mexico and have been sick for 2 weeks since coming back. GF lost her taste and smell similar to Covid but you can’t get tests now.
