Pickard is more athletic than Skinner... but overall they are equal in performance... each seem to have their weaknesses.

Pickard's style lends itself better to the oilers defensive system and the NHL in general. Skinner made the league by being gigantic.

I think the Oilers lost their work ethic and intensity as soon as they hit 1st in the division. Dog days of the season and that long layoff didn't help.

Seems the team plays it's best when their backs are aganst the wall and they HAVE to win.
