Carlo needs a good solid puck moving partner. He is better when he can just be a defender. Not worry about puck control
Or the reverse and he knows he is not coming back, or at least will be traded from this disaster.
I feel for Marchand though. He is laboring through this poor season. You can see the frustration.
He has played his whole career surrounded by some elite players, Hall of Famers, most of the teams have been a tight knit group, and they have won plenty. Now this. It has to be a brutal kick in the nuts.
He's not happy. I'm not happy. Nobody is happy. But even the best teams usually go through some down years after their great players move on. Passage of time stuff. Marchand is last man standing from the golden years. Can't be fun.
What's important now is the steps the team starts taking to get to the other side of the valley. It can begin in the next week and I sure hope it does.

Can agree with most of your post, but no to Sacco. He needs to be gone at season end . This team needs a new coach from outside the organization, and the complete coaching staff over hauled . Keep Goalie Bob

He needs a new team. F him will be addition by subtraction if we can finally be rid of him.
The only way to improve this team quickly is to get into the top 10 draft this year and hope/pray we move up into a top 5 pick.
I would be looking at trade partners like Seattle and try to swing a deal to exchange first rounders as part of the deal.
Misa,Hagens,Desroyers,Frondell and McQueen all play center and should be able to step right into the NHL next year.

I questioned that also, they had them hemmed in pretty good, do not understand that move, or lack of.With about 2 mins and change left the Bruins top line had NYI hemmed in yet Sacco waited to pull the goalie with a lesser line
If that is the move, the bruins should demand both, Sweeney needs to man up and tell them thats the deal or he is going to ColoradoI guess go red sox now.
Marchy instant 1st round pick for sure or a matt savoie from Edmonton.
Marchands game has been taken away because of father time. Marchand can still help teams, but he is not that guy anymore, and he needs accept that and adjust his game.

Defense even with Lindholm will be a lot better but still below today's standards. As far as I am concerned McAvoy is not elite and plays as such. Zadorov maybe paid too much but at least he tries and you hear his name mentioned during the game.
Top 6 forwards, 1 true finisher and a couple that show up every now and then. E. Lindholm is a complete bust.
Bottom 6 have completely dried up goal wise. 4th line cannot even provide the effort required to produce dogged forechecking and hitting when the team needs a lift. They should be able to provide positive momentum swings to turn a game around.
As far as the goaltending is concerned Swayman should be charged with robbery.
This team needs an influx of talent which cañnot happen overnight. Even in the minors they do not have any elite talent that can step right in. Trading guys like Frederick, Brazeau, Carlo etc. will not rectify the current situation management has developed. I agree, some if not all of these players may need to be traded but do not expect enough talent in return that can right this ship.

Congratulations to Pasta on getting his 800th point. It is a disgrace that his best years are being wasted. Ray Bourque could tell him a thing or two about that.
