The GM is the idiot who gave them power. It was as amateur a move as any GM as ever madeI can't stand the greedy, whiny mediocre zero. You will just have to live with it.
Neither was Swayman until this weekThomas wasn't playing behind a second d pair of Wotherspoon/ Callahan.
I don’t know how you get one.#1 center.
I am shocked with him having 0 starts since the 4 nation break. He's going to look rustyPlease put Korpi in next game. Not fair to sit him too many games and then expect him to be fresh.
All of the above. So what is it?
Is it simply a lack of talent?
Guys underachieving?
Lack of leadership?
Great opportunity for the kid.Might have something in Callahan
I wish I knew. Luck i guess?I don’t know how you get one.
There isn’t one available in free agency over the summer.
And you don’t have the trade chips to acquire one.
So what’s the alternative? Deal one of your core pieces? Take a step or two back to take steps forward long term?
Not sure what choice you have.
If you're referring to the fact that most of the players on the B's aren't talented enough to do what their mind wants them to do, then yes, it is a 'mental mess.'I’m really still stunned. This team, to me has been a mental mess this entire season.
I do not know why. It’s really odd.
Get a point and lose in overtime I'm ok with that.![]()
Were gonna lose a heartbreaker in overtime but we still circling around the wc2 toilet to play caps.![]()
I wanna stay in that wc2 hunt and get swept by caps. I want playoffs.![]()
I guess but you never know get in and sway becomes tim Thomas. One can dream. I want that wc2.
Marchy is a great captain. Pasta is a leader....Mac...kind of and Coyle. After that I see no one. Usually, the Bs have leaders who are not wearing letters but are leaders none the less. There are fewer than usual for sure. All of the above.
I'm not going to say Marchand is a shitty leader, but the room definitely seems to be missing a bit of gravitas with Bergeron gone. I think that in part is because the fact very rarely is a locker room "led" by one guy. If you go back to the glory days, you had multiple guys filling that role. Chara as the face of it, Bergeron, Recchi, Ference to an extent. Even as time rolled on it became Bergeron and Marchand. Now Marchand is alone with nobody that stands out in that way.
The rest is self explanatory. Guys like Coyle who were significant pieces last year suck now, the adds they made didn't help and then the holes everywhere else in the lineup.
