I'm starting to think they'll trade him. We just don't trust any young players unless we absolutely have to. I'd rather they not but we will need a forward and I could see them pick the comfort of Hague, Whitecloud and McNabb over the youth of Korczak.

Didn't really notice Eichel much until OT to be fair. Hertl needs to find a gear other than neutral, I have been extremely unimpressed with him thus far.

I couldn't watch any of the road games, but I have likewise been unimpressed with Hertl. It also seems we're extremely passive on the road.

I'm sure this will be different with Karlsson back, but we definitely need more speed. And I would find some way to get Hutton and Korczak some games.

I'll be there Tuesday and get my impressions. I do wonder if the team is tanking to get rid of Cassidy. Coaches have shelf lives, and Cassidy is a good coach but I doubt he's easy to play for.

Samsonov and the Kolesar Pearson line were good. Howden had a good game. Everyone else sort of there going through the motions.

Howden has looked excellent in the games I saw at T-Mobile (all 3 home games). The going through the motions is what leads me to wonder about the coach.

I mean he both was and wasn't, the first was the worst goal of the season and he probably should have had the third as well. That aside 49 SOG is ridiculous.

I don't know how you can fault Cassidy at all. He's got 1 stud forward line right now, a bunch of one way wings in the middle 6 and 2 goalies that aren't very good. We don't have the horses to play shut down hockey in the forward group, especially with Karlsson out. And we don't have the consistency in scoring outside of the Eichel line to outscore our issues.

Not faulting Cassidy at all, but we have plenty of talent up front, allegedly the best defense in the league and the effort doesn't appear to be there, though I certainly agree our goaltending has been subpar at best. Just wondering if the team is tired of him - fourth line scored 3 goals yesterday, when your fourth line scores three times you should win easily.

What is it with our goalies being unable to stop bad angle shots and not being able to handle easy shots in their glove? Hill, LT and now Samsonov all give up way too many of those same types of goals. Ratchuk and Barkov out and Verhaeghe with 0 goals this season and they still get 4 goals and 49 shots.

It's probably because they all are just not that good.
