Lol I would agree with you but it's incredibly hard to give Therrien the benefit of the doubt. No other coach in the NHL would have Desharnais where he is. It's actually inexcusable.

1 goal and 1 empty net goal in 32 playoff games. Tell me someone else that would waste so many offensive opportunities on this guy.

:amazed:

Everygame can go either way. Let's hope this ends tonight.

I watched caps vs islanders yesterday and it looked similar to our games vs sens. Perimeter shots, bocked shots, wall at the blue line. Very difficult for any player to do anything.

Hopefully we can score early, first and often. The top two lines got to get going and it would be ideal if the powerplay was effective. Price may need to steal this for us if the last two games were any indication. Go Habs Go

Really don't get why De la rose still in there...
I see nothing more than a Andreas Dackell 2.0 in him
Not a bad player but we need offense...
I would rather have Parenteau or Hudon in at this point...

He's getting great playoff experience as well as doing exactly what a 3rd line winger on the Habs should do -- shutdown the opposition. Eller being pigeonholed in there suits his capabilities, but doesn't exploit all of his talents when we really need them for offense. In case anyone doesn't think that MT thinks Eller has a specific role (ie, just play D and have some 'momentum shifts' to set it up for the other two lines), you should listen to Michel's presser from yesterday. I don't mean the post-game one, i mean yesterday, in Brossard.

I think DLR has been just fine all things considered. He does lots of little things. He's not the problem.

I'm sick of hearing how DLR is good defensively, we're not scoring goals FFS. Get him out of the lineup.

Well done.

Ne suis-je pas un faux accord
Dans la divine symphonie,
Grâce à la vorace Ironie
Qui me secoue et qui me mord

Sorry dude can't keep up with french that good. :) I've never even seen Suis -je pas in my life. :)

Here you go :

The Man Who Tortures Himself

To J. G. F.

I shall strike you without anger
And without hate, like a butcher,
As Moses struck the rock!
And from your eyelids I shall make

The waters of suffering gush forth
To inundate my Sahara.
My desire swollen with hope
Will float upon your salty tears

Like a vessel which puts to sea,
And in my heart that they'll make drunk
Your beloved sobs will resound
Like a drum beating the charge!

Am I not a discord
In the heavenly symphony,
Thanks to voracious Irony
Who shakes me and who bites me?

She's in my voice, the termagant!
All my blood is her black poison!
I am the sinister mirror
In which the vixen looks.

I am the wound and the dagger!
I am the blow and the cheek!
I am the members and the wheel,
Victim and executioner!

I'm the vampire of my own heart
— One of those utter derelicts
Condemned to eternal laughter,
But who can no longer smile!

Its not a shot at DLR ... I am confident he will be a great asset in the future
Dackell in his Ottawa days was a pretty good 3rd - borderline 2nd line winger
And had few decent seasons with Juneau as a Habs...
But right now... We need more scoring and he doesn't help with that...
I would only keep him in the line up in Flynn spot...
You need a couple of guys who play low risk hockey in a line up
But we have just a little too much of them in at the moment.
We seen what Eller could do with Bourque in last year's playoffs
playing in the same kind of role... That's why I would try Hudon
even if it's just for the spark it could give... What can we lose..
. And Hudon as always been renowned for his 2 way smarts....

I think it's more like we are toast if we don't adapt and make changes.

Based on the lineup it really looks as tho Al Bundy is really adapting. DD with Weise and Galchenyuk.:laugh: That line is getting killed and exploited everywhere, easy pickings for the Sens. De La Rose is not ready for the role they have given him but I guess if you are on the MT favorites bus it's amazing what he will have you do. Why not try Hudon for a game? I want to win but seriously guys the outcome will be the same as game 5 with these line combos. EGG line would have been the spark!!!! Why is that so hard to see?:shakehead:shakehead

This this and way more this. MT would rather lose than put Eller in that number 1 C spot. It's like minor hockey when the coach was dad to one of the lesser talented players but yet he gets the important role. 4-1 Sens.

While that should happen. Knowing MT...

Pacioretty - Desharnais - Weise
Galchenyuk - Plekanec - Gallagher
DLR - Eller - PAP
Prust - Mitchell - DPS

Agreed on most parts...
Free Hudon...He could be our 2013 Sen's Pageau
They had similar junior careers ....
Let's troll them back with the Hudon chant !

Max, Markov, Plekanec, DD and Galchenyuk needs to step up their game tonight. If not we will lose again.
Might want to add Subban's name in there. He's been brutal for 3 games this series.

I agree with the rest of the names though.

Can you guys stop posting all that **** you think is gonna help us win? Because it's pretty much useless if you haven't noticed.

Just a little go Habs go will be enough.

Go :habs Go

Wow this message board would be pretty boring if every poster only posted Go Habs Go instead of their actual opinion.

Totally agree that we need more scoring, so from that POV, if the scoring is supposed to come from our 3rd line winger, then yes, I think DLR isn't doing much. I just don't think it should be coming from there and that I really think we'd get a decisive goal scored on us without the cumulative effects of the things DLR has been doing.

At this point though, I would totally agree with putting Hudon there. And you're right, he's know for 2 way, although out of all our prospects who have previously been known to be defensively responsible, DLR has been the first and only to show it immediately after being called up. Still, Game 6 is the time to try Hudon, not game 7, so if we're gonna do it, do it now! Could spark tons of $$$ for Molson with an overnight massive demand for jerseys.

Might want to add Subban's name in there. He's been brutal for 3 games this series.

I agree with the rest of the names though.

Dunno about brutal. He just hasn't been out of this world good. I'd still say he's been one of the reasons we've even had a chance...in those bad games. He definitely could be better, for the whole 60 min or more, but I think some of the other guys have performed quite a lot worse.

Oh My God - What's with all the negativity? We are a CUP CONTENDER!! GO HABS GO!

Seriously. I do not understand.

- 2 years ago we won our division and had a norris trophy winner (1st Norris in how long? won division after being almost dead last year before)

- Last year - we made the ECF!!!! Also - we had a real strong chance of going further but lost Price to injury (yeah - Rangers played great, maybe we still lose, but maybe we win - Price is our best player)

This year now:

- President Trophy winners? Nope. We lost. But we're in 2nd place!!!!

- Division winner? Check

- Vezina winner? Check (1st time in a long time)

- Hart winner? Check (1st time in a long time - and Price should be a LOT better long-term than Theodore, who most expected to be a one-time deal). (also - I know he didn't win yet, but let's be serious Price will win)

- Norris contender? Check (I don't know that Subban wins, but he's in the race)

- Top 5 goal scorer in the NHL? Check (Pacioretty - top 5 goal scorer in the NHL past 3 years - when's the last time we can say this?)

Let's get to the important stuff that matters:

- Therrien - MASSIVE Winning record since joined as coach? CHECK

- 3-0 series lead against Ottawa in round 1? CHECK

- Would you (this is you Mr Reader) have been happy 1 week and a half ago if I told you Habs would hold a 3-2 lead over Ottawa heading into game 6? CHECK

- Projected round 2 - we either get Detroit (who we are better than) or Tampa (who is playing BAD these playoffs). Beatable opponents? CHECK

Are there *any* teams in the NHL who should be feeling as good about their team right now than the habs? Maybe Rangers? Anyone else? Yet every single post and every single thread on this forum is negative.

- Pacioretty sucks - not a leader
- Pacioretty can't play in the playoffs
- Desharnais is horrible
- Therrien is horrible
- We have no system
etc, etc.

Fellow Fans - HABS will win and go to round 2 tonight. We have a VERY LEGIT chance at the Cup this year. Quit with all the negativity and start cheering!

Thank You.
