Game #6: Kings vs. Wild - 10/19/14 Kings Beat The Wild 2-1

the two points are great, but this unsustainable, outshot by a wide margin every game will catch up

While I agree, which do you think is more unsustainable? The Kings being outshot by these margins and winning or the Kings playing poor possession hockey? They haven't forgotten what their strengths are. Execution is poor right now, but it will turn around.

To be honest we've been on the other side of that equation so much that I have no ****s to give about how we've won these two games.

It's why these things equalize over time. We didn't forget how to play hockey.

Kings just faced - and beat - two of the top teams in the Western Conference. We got rid of the panic button three years ago. Let's all calm down. Look at that Oilers game!

I think people ARE calm here. I think that a measured "glad to get the win, but I have concerns _IF_ x, y, and z continue" is a COMPLETELY calm and rational response to a somewhat awkward win, no matter what point in the season the team is at.

I haven't genuinely seen any panic or Chicken Little -- no calls for immediate waiving of anyone, no calls to bring kids up, no calls for anyone's job. This IS calm.

I like the win, I like the points -- I think the critiques aired here also have validity to discuss calmly and rationally :)

I totaly agree with this the chicken little segment of our fan base is still really quiet althou its only a matter of time.

These things even out over time, the team is not going to continue giving up 35+ shots a night.

Kopitar is not going to be a ghost the whole season. Richards is not going to remain the top LW ETC>.

Also like Sutter said the other night "We are going to lose games we play really well in, it's the nature of hockey sometimes".

There was a hard but clean hit on Kopi that initially looked sort of bad and Richards went to stick up for his teammate.

Okay I get that, but why do players, of all players Mike Richards, go after a guy after a clean hit still?

If you've been watching hockey for a significant period of time, you really don't need to ask this question.

In light of the Voynov arrest and accusations, I think we change the thread title to "Kings triumph over The Wild 2-1", "Kings best The Wild 2-1", or "Kings Vanquished The Wild 2-1"
