Hard game to watch, we sucked. Lucky to get the two points.

We're six games into the season, calm down.

I am calm. Just making fun of some of you guys and your posts.

This is a hockey forum, where whatever I write should be suspect...man, if you don't know my BBS persona by now, you never will.

Consult RP and/or GBK. They get it.

I was at the game and when the Kings went up 2-0, I had zero doubts they wouldn't win, same as many around me. It was obvious early Quick was dialed in. Get that 2 goal lead and make it a ho hum 2-1 win.

Any win you can walk away from. They really need to cut down on the SOG though, they're making Quick work way too hard.Bob Miller is right, Charlie Coyle will be having nightmares missing all those chances.

After last year's playoffs, anybody who thought this team would make things easy has deceived themselves. I'll take a 4-1-1 record on bad defensive play and Quick stealing games since when December hits I expect to see more 1-4-1 records when the offense dries up entirely. Ask me how the team is doing after mid-March, that's when these players wake up....

And I couldn't be happier.

Nobody cares how pretty the win was at the end of the day. They won't all be as ugly as the last two.

I think this year it is really visible the difference in approach from opponents. Now they truly look at Kings as two time SC champions in three years and they see those games as special games. And if the teams have quality as Sharks, Blues and Wild have, this then result in games as were in this season against them.

I think Kings are not yet prepared for this kind of intensity and aggresion from opponents at the beggining of regular season but they will adjust to that. And games wont be so one-sided as they were last week.

But anyway, point-wise they have good start and they can just build up from here on. Now is the Quick and 70-line main reason for getting points, but I have no doubts that the others are going to wake up, when Quick and 70s will cool down.

Kings just faced - and beat - two of the top teams in the Western Conference. We got rid of the panic button three years ago. Let's all calm down. Look at that Oilers game!

Plus, we have three big pieces missing. A top line forward, top line defenseman, and a penalty kill/bottom six player. Gaborik and Muzzin are pretty big losses, to be honest. I'm not worried at all. Quick thrives when he's needed most, anyway.

Let's not look at the Oilers game as an indicator. The Oilers played like total garbage, especially on defense. If not for the Sabres, they'd be the worst team in the league.
