To provide some clarity, Bleedred is actually a Sharks fan and posts in every Sharks GDT. Not sure why he hates the Jackets, if he does.
I was hoping that he was. Thanks for that. Has something to do with the Jackets somehow singlehandedly keeping the Devils out of the playoffs a couple years ago or something like that.

The Ducks game would be a good time to see Milano.

If we looked more like we did the first two games, well remember one of those games was against the Sharks. It's no crime to not be on par with the Western Conference champions.

Back to square one. Looked more like the first two games. Bad decision making and sloppy execution.

I wonder if the problem with Dubi and Jenner is that the Jackets are trying to play a faster game and both of those guys are pretty bad skaters and have trouble hanging on.

Jenner was playing better last couple games. Had a nice assist on the 4 on 2 goal that Anderson scored.

I don't know why Torts put him back with Dubi. That's not good for either one of them. Keep Calvert with Dubi!

The only line that worked last night was Calvert- Karlsson - Anderson. Then Hartnell -Sedlak -Gagner had a few good shifts.
Saad - Wennberg- Foligno have been good but just had a rough night. They looked like their sleep medication had kicked in too early (kind of like the team).

I was hoping after going down a goal early that we would see the d-pinching and jumping more. For most of the game though it looked like a very stolid system. Only in the last 5 minutes did they start pinching and pressing. I think that's a big mistake. When they're behind they need to double the forecheck and pinch the D, even in the first period.

The club has given up very few odd man rushes against in the last 4 games. That's great, but we're not pressuring either. The offense looks like crap.

Did the coaches ask them not to step up? Or were they just too slow to it?

In the first two games David Savard was a disaster, getting caught on every other pinch. He's the one guy who couldn't do it. The rest of the D were pinching well and getting back. Since then they're all pinching less, Savard looks a lot better, but the offensive pressure is lacking.

Are the coaches asking all the D to play the same way? If so, why not just have Savard pinch less and let Werenski, Murray, Jones, and JJ pinch more?

Like we won't be missing Johansen, basically.

I was about to say not quite, because Wennberg hasn't been productive enough 5 on 5, but then again that was/is common for Johansen too, to have long stretches with nothing but PP production. So far Wennberg has a measly 1 assist 5 on 5, and Johansen has zero points.

I actually think Hartnell - Wennberg was a better fit. Foligno and Saad are clicking without him. (so far).
