Avs slowed down as the game went on, which isn’t unexpected in the second game of a b2b. All of the penalties didn’t help either.

Good win overall. Loved the first half of the game by them.

I've really liked Georgiev so far. From the games I've seen I havnt really seen any obvious weak goals. The pk has just been abysmal. It's also nice not having to cringe every time he stretches out far thinking he might get hurt like Kuemper or Grub or Varly. If he keeps this up I think we will have a good value starter for the next three years.

Nice win. Ran out of steam on a back-to-back, but the effort level was definitely better than the last few games.

Led by Hart trophy candidate Val Nichushkin.

How'd we look? I spent the evening losing a men's league game so I didn't catch this one. I take it Georgiev was good and Nichushkin is still the best player in the world?
Good at times but it was far from easy. Guys need to buy dinner to their goalie.

I don't think we'll get many "easy" games this season like we've been used to in the last couple of years.

I think considering the back to back it was a solid win. There's still some work to do on the defensive system and PK (despite the PK being 3/4 tonight) But I'm happy overall.

George, Bo, ERod and Nuke were fantastic.

Makar (other than the one defensive play, Mack (outside of the goal and Rants didn't look very good tonight.

Hopefully ERod isn't out, but it would be very Avs for him to start to figure it out then miss time.

Not sure if this was just tonight but I'm not sure the last time I saw an Avs goalie track the puck through traffic like Georgiev tonight. He knew where that thing was at all times.

Does anyone have a replay of the scramble that ensued from the rebound off the boards? Altitude didn't do a great job of showing it but I thought Georgie stopped a shot with his blocker while falling which if it happened would be a SOTY candidate IMO

Looked like a blocker save to me, then the D-man stuffed the puck under his ass.

Yeah wtf happened on that save? It looked like it was near the right post, but Georgie was stretching out with both hands (which was weird in itself) to the left post.

ERod got hurt? He was just the post-game interview on the radio, and sounded just fine.

JMac leading the D in xGF% as expected.

Bednar threw away 2 points needlessly by playing Macdermid yesterday on the back end.
