In OT too. 5 on 5 in regulation, a nice goose egg so far.

Kopitar and Carter, a combined 0 ES points in regulation. At home.

Ouch. Niemi and Lehtonen in Dallas have 3 helpers between them already.

All I want out of tonight's game is some different looks on the PP. Some clean zone entries, guys moving away from the puck. Some urgency. God forbid someone to screen the goalie (Looch I'm looking at you).

So you're saying they are do?

With our shooting percentage everyone is due.
We're not know for being high in shooting percentage but come on 3.92%. That's low even for us.

But everyone was screaming for Kopi was to shoot more. He is 2.4 shots a game plus another 1.8 that miss or are blocked. But the 2.4 is 197 over the year. He still needs to shoot a more but it's an improvement.

I'll be more specific. Stop passing it back to the point, drive to the middle, and shoot more from the slot.

I gotta give Nill some major props. I thought having that much space tied up in two goalies was a terrible decision, but given their hot start and record I have to tip my hat. Playing two goalies in net is a brilliant strategy. Stars are such an impressive team this season. Having those two in net together is such a savvy veteran move. Stars will be unstoppable with those two sharing the crease together.

They need to go to a 3 goalie system which will make them even deadlier imo. They should try and grab Holtby.

I see what you did there.

Quick finally on top of his game and we get Enroth in net when I choose to trek out to SJ for the game. Dammit, Sutter. Why would you play Quick against the Canes instead?

I for one like McBain. He has a good transition game, and our record last season with him in the lineup speaks for itself. He's a poor man's Martinez.

If you could create a character on an NHL game, McBain is the one you flood all the offensive attributes as high as you can go, then run out of any points to spend on defense.

Dude seemed more consistent and more interested in making the playoffs last year than 98% of the Kings roster, save for Quick and Doughty, IMO.

I'm fine with McBain as well. I just have to wonder why he's being called up. Is there a trade in the works, or perhaps an injury...

What a nice thing to have now.

And loved seeing how many eastern fans said it wasn't a big deal, yet their teams have had this benefit for years.

Rosen says Enroth was first of the ice this morning. Guess he's making his debut tonight.

Would rather have seen him against Carolina tomorrow, but he was going to get a start today or tomorrow regardless, because of the back-to-back.

And just when Quick was heating up. Not sure of Sutter's thinking here.
