Some of it is ice awareness and some of it is because he's not afraid of going into those areas where some guys on this team prefer to play on the perimeter. Toronto was targeting him last night. He'll learn from it and needs to continue to fill out.Point as gets crunched way to often.
MVP's do not go to teams that do not make the playoffs, but Pasta, is what a real MVP, should play like. Now decision is do you waste his prime talented years on a rebuild, or do you get aggressive and created and get this guy some support.Without Pastrnak they are a bottom 5 team. All the analytics point to it.
Why do they lack confidence?
They get paid millions
Spend a few dollars at the confidence store instead of having 5 cars
Btw- I sat in my buds center ice seats up over bench row 2 balcony looking down and I could feel it myself when went to 3-2

I laughed reading about your "confidence store", if it was only that easy. Reminded me of the Costanza "Jerk Store". Whalstrom needs to shop at the confidence store, you can tell he has none. Zero. Why do they lack confidence?

It's not ALL on Sway but he is part of the team and owns some of it. If he had stopped just one of those goals...
The D has been an issue (IMO) all season which doesn't help the net minders.
I am a Coyle guy, but this has not been his best season, but I agree he does give you effort ever night, and would be a nice tool to have in your shed if this team actually had some players on this team with talent and commitment that he has.Played 20 minutes and continues to be a player that works his arse off.
Not surprised. Last night he was being helped down the tunnel and was limping. So I read Freddy has leg injury this morning.
It was a team loss, but he is a part of that team.Yeah but the loss is not on him when team can't defend a late period lead and can't score a empty netter ... You can't expect him to stand on his head every game
There’s no way Beecher is going anywhere. The guy is a staple and clearly part of our core. Rightfully so as he definitely brings the excitement and gets the crowd going.
I would rather the have the player who works his ass off and does not get it done, than a lazy ass, that accomplishes even less, at least the worker has a chance at some point to be a positive. If fans are looking at Charlie Coyle, to blame this shit situation, should spend the time watch the games, and reevaluate what is going on around him.Works his arse off and gets nothing done.
You would be the best person here for injury info being in those awesome seats ..Thanks, now I can believe what I read. Not surprised. Last night he was being helped down the tunnel and was limping.
He seems like a good kid, and I hope he will be OK
It was a team loss, but he is a part of that team.
Interesting take. I've watched a game or two of some guys at the top of the draft and have come away thinking they're really good players. There isn't a #1C in this draft that at 18, will make that kind of impact next year.
If they get lucky and get best center in draft its going to take until at best 2026-27 before that center replaces last years Coyle impact (60pts).
That's the fairest way to look at Swayman last night. Bruins going to have to comeback next year hoping Swayman, Lindholm rebound and Pastrnak, McAvoy and Lindholm are 100% to start year.
Don, I agree with you and Sheppy, never been the biggest Marner guy, and not wanting to give out a big contract, but let's be honest moves must be done.Yes we need scoring badly but dont wanna pay him 12 million aav.
You have one year left to trade him, and should be done, he has no trade protection for another year.Swayman sucks and I do not want to see him attempt to play again. Korposalo and DiPietro might as well take over the net.
I said previously to give Swayman a 2 year 5 mil contract to let him prove himself. Now we are stuck with this ridiculous long term deal with no real way out.
Wouldn't be surprised if he's out until March 7 at 2:59pm EST.So I read Freddy has leg injury this morning.

I just report some things I see. There are some things I would never post. You would be the best person here for injury info being in those awesome seats ..Thanks, now I can believe what I read.
Every time i watch that kid skate, I go to the Chiropractors, the next day.People are high on Poitras because there's so very little else anywhere on this roster under the age of 25 to get excited about. He stands out in an extremely shallow pool.
Reality is we still have no idea what he's going to become. He's only 20. Could be anywhere from solid 2C to a career in the minors or Europe. He's a good kid to have in the mix, I hope it pans out for him. But I don't see him as one to rave about. Might be a useful piece in a competitive team, but not a game-changer.
If you noticed they went with 4D the last few minutes trying to hold the lead.
Zadorov, Carlo, Wotherspoon and Peake.
Zadorov fumbled the dump in leading to the tying goal with seconds left.
With their top 2 D out, are you really surprised those 4 could not shut down the Leafs late push?
Would have been nice, but I'm not.
Well there goes our only trade chip (sarcasm intended)So I read Freddy has leg injury this morning.
Confidence is HUGE.Lack of confidence is as crushing as confidence is a positive stimulus. Especially with a fragile team like the Bruins.
Pasta scores 30 seconds in and the B's are jacked. Dominate the Leafs for over 30 minutes. Then a shot bounces off Wotherspoon past Swayman for a fluke goal, Wahlstrom takes a bad penalty and they go to the locker room up 2 with a PK coming to start the third period. Confidence slips. Third period it's a different team.
The fact Sacco can’t see he is a better center than wing should get him fired. He can’t evaluate players and realize their strengths
I do not want to base next season on hope. There isn't a #1C in this draft that at 18, will make that kind of impact next year.
