People need to get over the Podkolzin experiment already. The guy is an absolute bum at producing offense. When you watch him bobble pucks and stickhandle, you start to wonder why an NHL forward playing on a contender has worse hands then me and I fix computers for a living.

This team might be among the dumbest in the league. Clinically unable to get through the neutral zone and not do something amazing f***ing dumb along the way.

I’m fine if Kasperi Kapanen doesn’t play another game for the Oilers. Start sending the depth to Siberia one by one and maybe these f***ing idiots will bother to try and play at a pro level for a minute. f***ing embarrassing.

Positive note. Savoie looked great. His speed and IQ shining. I’ve noticed it a few times now he has a great stick. This goes for both offence and defence. He’s kept plays alive, leading to sustained zone time going north and he’s been very disruptive on the backcheck. He’s showed a detailed pro approach early on. Very positive signs

He already looks like the best winger on the team. Unfortunately mostly due to the bar being so low the past 3 games, but still.

Oilers should never get more than 2 days off... it seems the team loses all focus, skill and work ethic after long stretches off and it takes so long for them to get back in the groove again.

We've all seen this before... hopefully by the playoffs the ship is righted and the team finds its groove again.

We lost our work ethic about 8 or 9 games ago. Just worse now.

Kapanen's MO is that he looks good for a few months and then becomes invisible. He seems to be living up to his reputation. Too many guys are content/fat and happy on this team.

Savoie just made a defensive play at the end of the period there that we usually don’t see Skinner make.

I bet that’ll make Knoblauch happy.
 
Guys like Bowman and Jackson are so lucky guys like Rod Phillips wasnt in his prime or hed rip these 2 apart at media gatherings. These 2 for me this year have been nothing short of clowns. Astoundingly stupid decisions. Team looks slower than a turtle at all positions and are aging out bad.

Just wait till they don’t use any of Kanes LTIR at the TDLand we see him come back for round two of the playoffs….

These guys are the type of guys who will flip Savoie for more bums if they feel the heat. Were screwed unless our top 4 or 5 guys drag us to the cup
