Would be hard to imagine if they didn’t make the playoffs, and having fired 3 coaches in what 4 years, would be hard to imagine him keeping his job.I would like to think that soon we will see the last of his smug, craggy face. I’m not holding my breath because the clown should have been fired years ago.
Injuries aside this team seems to have a lot of going through the motions to it.The two weeks off seemed to hurt Boston more than the Ducks. First period Bruins were dominated.
Rangers, Oilers and Pens never got their games going. Canes gave up 4 in the first before they got going.
I guess you have a better view of things than I do watching on tv. I don’t see what makes Marchand an “excellent captain”. I also don’t see Pasta as a leader. I feel like he takes a lot of shifts off and makes a lot of lazy plays. I see Coyle as nothing but a passenger. From what I have seen you are a loyal fan which is more than I can say for some. We all have been pretty spoiled the last 10 years with decent teams. This season has been disappointing.
I always want a win, but clearly, they need help. Everything needs to be looked at. I shake my head at some of the coaching decisions and from where I sit (after last night) so do some of the players. Clearly, they need some help with players. The mix isn't working.
Many here were so excited about E. Lindholm. He isn't working out like some hoped (probably including Don Sweeny), but many here were so psyched to have him. I still think that MAYBE he will get better.
The chemistry on the team is off. It seems like years where it was so good.
Brad is an excellent captain. Pasta is a leader as are Mac and Charlie C. After them I don't notice much leadership which is different that the past where there are several leaders that don't have letters.
Too many good 3d and 4th line players...not enough top ones.
The D has been a concern all season. It has been many years since the Bs PK was as bad as I have seen it this season.
I will always cheer on this team. I hope something can be done.
Please beat the Leafs.
Yeah, but incompetence doesn’t seem to be an issue.Would be hard to imagine if they didn’t make the playoffs, and having fired 3 coaches in what 4 years, would be hard to imagine him keeping his job.
You can be a realist as well as a loyal fan. If anything, the rose colored glasses aren't being worn.I always want them to win ,always want them to make the playoffs, but I just don’t know ,I think I”m finally at a point where they just are better off losing and getting a lottery pick. Which is really making it difficult to watch them play.Atleast they play the Leafs next ,don’t want nothing but a win in that one. Have I become a non loyal fan or just a realist?
Indeed, but he is still getting a couple of shifts with the better players even in 12 minutes.Showcasing TF? Must be a short highlight reel.
Still giving him three or four shifts with the better players. Other than that, I do not believe succo and company believe in him enough to give him solid time. They aren’t showcasing him giving him the 9th most minutes of the top 9.
Worst thing about last night was they got a point. The rest of the season should all be about next year and how to improve.
How could they possibly go for it? They have very little of trade value other than Pasta.Though you know that even if that is the mentality the FO has (and it might be), they are still going to get a few points along the way. I think some of us fear that any points will give the FO an excuse to go for it insteand of look to the future but no way to know till the TDL is on us and we see what they do.

This is the truth, although they have plenty more of trade value than just Pasta. But trading away the ones with the most value would leave holes they might have to spend years refilling. They simply can't be buyers at the TDL They probably will try the retool approach, keeping their youngish core and draft picks and seeking to add a couple more picks for TF, maybe Korpisalo, maybe Carlo, maybe even Marchand as long as he was fine with it. Brazeau and Koepke possibly could get late-round picks, allowing them to give Lysell a run. I doubt they'll go the full rebuild approach, since most of their best players are still in their prime. My fantasy move would be swapping Marchand (if he was cool with it) and Poitras to Washington for Leonard, but very unlikely the Caps would do it.How could they possibly go for it? They have very little of trade value other than Pasta.
I think it's impossible for anyone to say definitively if any of the leaders on this team are good leaders or not.I guess you have a better view of things than I do watching on tv. I don’t see what makes Marchand an “excellent captain”. I also don’t see Pasta as a leader. I feel like he takes a lot of shifts off and makes a lot of lazy plays. Again, I know you have a better vantage point than myself so maybe you could explain what makes you think these players have all these qualities. Thank you.
Yeah, but incompetence doesn’t seem to be an issue.
That's the worst place to be, mediocrity purgatory.I still think they finish around 21st to 25th place overall in the league this season. That’s what I predicted at the start of the season and it’s likely looking like that’s where they end up.
The bruins aren’t in a bad position. They have a lot of good pieces. Injuries to the defence probably ruined this season. If lindholm and McAvoy where healthy would they not have 10 more points? That's the worst place to be, mediocrity purgatory.

I meant in terms of the draft, the 21-25 spot usually means you weren't good enough to be a contender and not bad enough to have a chance to add talent to your roster without waiting for prospects to cook. I'm not sure how many points they would have if those two were healthy because even with those two players they still underperformed and you still have a number of holes for the forwards. Also I think they have some good pieces not a lot. They have a lot of complimentary pieces imo.The bruins aren’t in a bad position. They have a lot of good pieces.
