Great play by Murray there, right on Atkinson's stick and he whiffed on it. Have a feeling he'll be thinking about that one after the game.

Well, not enough O, but the team still fought, can't get too mad about it.

I'm upset with a few of our players, but not at the loss. Right now this is a 4 forward team.

Dubinsky, AA, Foligno, and Atkinson need to figure out there game again. RJ wasn't good at all tonight. I'm still trying to figure out our head coaches obsession with Savard.

I don't think I would have used our top line at around the 2:20 mark if you had no intention of pulling the goaltender. Having that Dubinsky line out when you pulled the goaltender was a bit of a waste. Richards does that a lot when we're down going into the last 2:30/2:40 in a game.

Good riddance, California. So thankful that this trip only hapens once a season now.

Glad to see us fight back, but we waited too long into the third period to do it. Tough one, especially with the performance Bob turned in.

I didn't see the entire game, but in the parts I saw Calvert stood out tonight on the penalty kills (of which there were way too many). They've seemed a step slow in the offensive zone the past 2 games. Bob was great.

I was hoping for 3 of 6 when the trip started and they got it, but you wish with how it started they could've gotten another point or two.

Our defense aside from Tyutin and JJ blew. Especially Savard. Bob and Calvert were the only ones who showed up for a full 60

Really irked me that Dubinsky was out there after our timeout. Selfish penalty and just a bad game. Would have rather had just about anyone else out there and let Johansen take the draw.

Our defense is entirely too slow skating and more importantly thinking the game, with the exception of Murray. They take forever to do anything, shoot, pass, skate. If it wasn't for Bob, it would have been 15-2.

Another game of getting pushed around by a bigger, tougher team. But hey, we don't need Boll, Tropp was SUPER out there!

I am concerned about the lack of offense outside of the Jenner-RyJo-Horton line. Not a single goal from any of the other three lines during the last two games, both one goal losses. I think we need to add some offense to one of the other lines. Someone like ....Marion Gaborik if we can get him. Oh wait ....... The team needs more Gaborik and less Boll. We are not going to win many games against good teams with just one scoring line.

OK ladies and gentlemen. We went 1-1-1 on the west coast trip. Could have been better, but acceptable considering the caliber of the opponents. We played no slouches.

We are now at the break. We got no help last night, but even after tonight's games we will still be in good shape for the stretch run.

Despair not.

Be ready to do your part at the Nat come March. The team will be ready and we too must be ready.

GO JACKETS!

I've beat this drum for a long time now. I just don't see it with Savard. Everyone seems to think he's had a great season. I watch a guy who can't skate, can't move the puck, loses battles in front of the net, and brings no offense. If we are going to upgrade for the final 24 games, the back end is where we can do it.

From opening night up until the Olympic break I still can't see what the coaches see in Savard. He is consistently a weak link back there. Would love to trade for a vet or put any of golo, prout, or timmy.

Aren't going to win many giving up 40 + shots on goal. SJ looked rested and we looked like the team playing the the second game of a back to back. In the big picture of things I'm really concerned about the lack of Physicality in the make up of this team. We got beat up and pushed off the puck all night. For this team to be capable of doing damage in the playoffs we are going to need at least one more big bodied physical presence that plays what Hitchcock used to refer to as a "weighty" game. No sustained offensive presence tonight. Really lucky to get two goals. The Johansen pass to back to the slot to Jenner was sick. Bodes well for the future. The Dubinsky line is just not producing. Lots of energy but they've got to use their speed and out quick the opposition. Atkinson had to bury the chance at the end of the game. Even though Cam and Calvert play so well together this might be the line to insert Gaborik on when he returns. Savard is not getting it done. Would rather see Prout or Gobulef here instead. Have no opinion on Erixon because he never gets to play. Horton has been a presence but frankly I expected alot more out of him. 8 games without a goal ain't getting it. Two last rants... How many times did a Jackets player fall down last night? I mean come on this is the NHL. Lastly, thought the officiating was slightly one sided favoring SJ. Not enough to really complain about; just an observation. Playoff teams play through these nights.

Peace out....

I think it'll be good for the team's mindset over break that we're a point out. Their heads won't be getting big and they'll be itching to get back to work.

I did not see the game last night but saw the box score. Was Letestu playing so poorly to only deserve 10 minutes?
