Bruins chances of winning tomorrow just went down drastically, I mean from like a 50% chance of winning to a 20% of winning and no, theres no injuries that I know of.

You may of heard me mention this before. Bruins have gotten to 5 games above .500 on several occasions throughout this season, But they have lost EVERY game when attempting to get to 6 games above, like 7 times it feels..But so far and I do realize it's only 2 games, but I like a couple things Butch is doing. He sat out Beleskey because he didn't like the way he was playing, something CJ never did, sit a vet..He makes players accountable regardless of who they are or what they're making..So far anyway..Now I don't expect Krejci to be sitting because when he has bad games, He's still usually one of our better players and you don't want to send the wrong message. If Bergy has a bad game, you just cant sit him but has Bergy EVER had a bad game??

Bruins got very little help this evening as Florida beat the Preds and Philly beat SJ for their 4th str loss..2 games I figured we would gain on if we won but no matter, as long as Bruins take care of themselves, get one more win and get a full week off..

38 goals in the last 8 games. Things are looking up.

Averaging 4.75 goals a game, a nice change. I wonder what a week off will do for those guys. We have the Habs tomorrow night and that game is huge in so many ways.

1. Huge confidence booster if we win

2. 6 pts in 4 days, and a week off as a reward.

3. If Habs lose tonight, just 6 points behind them if we beat them

4. wins by 2 different goalies on a back to back

5. Points are at a premium and the easiest road to the postseason is through our own division. Leafs losing 3- 1 vs Sabres after 2 periods.

6. Keep the winning streak alive

I missed today's game. Happy to see another big home ice win.

I see Belesky got scratched. Can't say it was undeserved. He'll get back in but how to you pull say Schaller out (who scored last game) right now. That 4th line looked very good vs. SJ.

Vatrano is already the superior player to Belesky.

Can anyone fill me in on how Cehlarik did?

Not really.

Just watching the reactions and body language from television, the guys seem energized. When they score a goal, their celebrations show a lot of emotion and excitement, for one another and in general.

I`m a Julien guy but gotta say, love this approach too

Boys got fortunate today, the bad news, I`m guessing only video session would be permitted before tomorrow night

The good news- there are lots of things to show the troops they need to improve upon and it sure didn`t feel like they expended a ton of energy so no excuses tomorrow night

I'm sorry ODAAT, not sure what you mean here. I would guess maybe 95% here know exactly what you mean but when you said "Video session not PERMITTED before t-night"..

Nice to see Cehlarik get a game in the NHL. Must be pretty nice for the kid to come in and play with Krejci and Pastrnak, who are basically like countrymen to him.

Colin Miller is starting to blossom. Let him keep playing and getting more icetime.

The 2 Millers were last anf 2nd last in icetime but I agree with you and Ive said before, I think Kevan Miller is having his best overall season. Seems stronger and smarter in his own end and pops the odd goal. most of his points came last 6 games 2 goals 2 assists.. NOT Kevan like numbers..My bad, might be 7 games. Having too much trouble with laptop to recheck stats..

Ya, now that the backup has hit two wins in 15 games, let's roll with him, lol.:shakehead

I have trouble understanding why Rask takes a bashing from so many fans everywhere, even though he's 26-13, 13 above .500 while the team is 5 games above .500. Rask is having a great year. He has slowed down past few games and his stats are slowly going south but what can we expect considering Julien pretty well had no choice but to keep playing him because of terrible back up goaltending. I expect him to return to the form he had earlier IF we can get decent back up goaltending so he can get a break every so often..

It would be fantastic to see Cehlarik turn into a Landeskog-esque type: 20ish goals, plays the body, etc etc. We'll see how he progresses. Maybe he'll be another Schaller, but I think he's got too much skill to be just a third/fourth line grinder. I really liked his game out there today.

What's his ceiling? Do you think Landeskog is a good pro comparison for him?

I'm not alone (LadyFan and BMC, I'm pretty sure) but I love K Miller.

He can play on my bottom pairing anytime.

I'd call him sir, if I was in a scrum with him too. As in, "look, we've all got to pair up with someone, but I have no beef with you, sir".

Then again I like Quaider too. I have a soft spot for nasty D-men who stand up for teammates without question. It's why I loved AF too. Anyone who flips off Habs crowd with equipment malfunctions are my kind of players.

It's not their fault they're both on the ice every night.

I thought Cehlarik looked very good.....lots of poise, good puck skills and good positioning.

Definitely had some chemistry with Krejci and Pasta.

Smooth skater and good hands.

I was very impressed.

I`ll pretend I never read this post in regards to the B`s chances tomorrow

Look on the bright side my friend..I'm wrong a lot on predictions. So look at this post as a sign of good things to come.

Never know, maybe the Bruin players and Butch realize this getting 6 games above too. May give them more incentive to beat the Habs.

Should be a terrific game. Regardless how you feel about the Habs, you have to respect the great rivalry and how many great game and series they have given us the past 100 years..Looking at it that way makes it a lot easier for me to watch the game without being full of hate. I let the respect for the rivalry outweigh any negative feelings I have toward the Habs and it really works. There was a time I would get all worked up, like a few days before they even played. Now I try to look at it as another game..

I haven't seen enough of Cehlarik to say with enough conviction. I love his IQ and he seems to have good puck skills. Once he improves his skating and gets more NHL ice-time, I think he's got the potential to be a top 6 guy. I don't think he plays as heavy a game as Landy, but Cehlarik seems more than willing to use his body effectively and not shy of contact.

It's not their fault they're both on the ice every night.

I'd take the next half decade with the Miller's as the third pairing. They faulter (like every other defenseman in Boston) when they are asked to take on roles higher up the totem pole that they can't possibly fill:

Krug - XXX
Chara - Carlo
Miller - Miller
Morrow

Fill the XXX and let the prospects Lindgren, Lauzon, ZBoril and company fight to replace Chara after next year.

Hope McAvoy develops as projected and take your time with him, especially if you brought in another RHD to fill the role for this year and next minimum.

The chemistry was solid enough to not mess with the that line for tomorrow. If anything, I'd test out Beleskey on the third line over Hayes with Spooner and Vatrano.

Rask should be rested and ready to go for one game then get another well-deserved break. Montreal will be trying to close off the pass to the point off the cycle so this is a real chance for Cassidy to implement his plan of driving to the net.

I liked the Pasta-Krej-Cehlarik line. Going to be dangerous once they learn to play together. Was most opportunistic line on the ice.

Makes you wonder why Cehlarik wasn't up sooner . Seems like he has nice hands and hockey sense . He doesn't look like a burner from what I saw today but overall I was very impressed.

The forgotten prospect..agree that he complimented Krejci and Pasta quite well, hope he gets more time on that line.

He looked outstanding for a kid playing his first game. He had instant chemistry with Krejci and Pasta and (IMO) his presence suddenly made 46-88 work. Up till now they seemed like a poor combo 5on5. Pasta trying to speed up and Krejci trying to slow it down. Cehlarik complemented both of them. He plays fast off the rush like Pasta, but he's also a heavy board guy who will cycle with Krejci. He had a great 2on1 with Pasta where he floated a pass to 88 who got robbed by Miller. He had a great exchange with Krejci that set him up for a shot between the dot and inside hash mark that Cehlarik mishandled but the play was there. Honestly, that line was slipping behind the back passes, give and go's, cycles... They looked better than the Bergeron line. They were also a little risky with Pasta giving the puck away twice that led to chances against but seriously, that line had instant chemistry and Cehlarik was why. He didn't play timid, he didn't defer. He battled hard and played creative and competitive. Long overdue.

Re: Beleskey. I was surprised to see him scratched over Hayes, tbh. (That said, I think Hayes has been solid of late.)

Re: Spooner. He's played about a minute and a half LESS under Cassidy. Also surprising.

Re: Backes, I thought he was strong. Very physical and in the final minute it's easy to send them out. They don't have to pull anyone out and can just roll them out there to protect the lead.
