The principal point of contact is the head and head contact was avoidable. That's all the league cares about.

yup, that's the thing
IMO he shouldn't get a big suspension out of it because he didn't intentionally go up high or do anything wild with it, but again, you can't just slam a guys head as the principal point of contact

i really dont know how ur supposed to hit as a tall player in this league anymore. so many skaters dont look where they are going and pretty much skate head first into players on the other team. nhl has created a situation where defenders are pretty much obligated to get out of the way of a clueless puck carrier.

NBAHL. Don't touch, no D, get out of the way. Goals put asses in seats not hits apparently is the "New NHL" push.
