The whole team was streaking with speed and you want him to slowly pass it on the boards? Nobody does that in that scenerio, including the Kings. The puck was 6 feet in the air and batted down.

It's because they don't have enough skill.

All of these problems, the lack of goals, the lack of good scoring chances, the lack of creativity...it all boils down to the fact that the Kings have two top six forwards on the roster.

Yes, because that's the cross-zone pass is a play you teach 5-year-olds not to make, you can't have your turnover prone defenseman being the one to try that.

And that's the fault of the organization for failing to develop or acquire talent. This team is lacking in talent and is chock full of grinders who are only capable of dumping and chasing.

This. I've come to the line of thinking that the Kings roster is not as good as they have been touted to be or as the front office believes they are.
 
If we don't make the playoffs. I expect Sutter and core player to leave.
 
You guys are blaming defense. The number one defense in the league. The kings have zero goals. Zero. No matter how few goals they allow, you have to score goals. The margin is so thin with this team it couldn't be any thinner. If they could score a few goals, mistakes don't matter as much. Right now, even if they make no mistakes, a perfect shot or one pp goal against can cost them the game. Muzzin, Regher and any other whipping boy Dman are not the problem. Defense is not the problem. Scoring goals is the root of this teams woes. Blame Kopitar, Carter, Richards, Tofolli, Brown and Williams.


Btw.. Voynov has unquestionably been the Kings worst dman the past 5 games. His turnovers are routinely giving the opposition quality chances.

I mean, take a look at this roster, it's disgusting. You can say the system is to blame, but you could run any system and it would be a struggle to score with these guys.

Then you still hear posters saying stuff like "we have such a talented roster"
