Cower in fear, Pittsburgh, cower in fear!

LOL, what an AWFUL lineup. Funny thing is, Sutter and Horvat are our main two penalty kill centres and faceoff guys. Who is going to centre the PK units? Who is going to take the important faceoffs. Haha, this game could be epic!

we are gonna win 5-1, and I have no particular reason why I think this.

It's too bad Benning and Linden's grand vision has once again been sabotaged by injuries.

Yep.

"We had significant injuries happen before the deadline which really affected our chances this year. It's bad luck and without them we think we'd be right there. But, you know, we like our team and think we're in good shape moving forward. Next year we'll add Brock Boeser who we think will be in contention for the Calder and think Juolevi can step right in as a two-way contributor on the blueline. We also really like the work Jake has been putting in down in Utica and expect him to contribute next year." - what I think will be said (not any different than last year. Benning had Jake pencilled in for 15-20 goals this year for example).

Man I hope ownership isn't actually buying into this stuff.

Hahahah these lines. This is a game we either get blown out 6-0 or win it 2-1

I can't even imagine the whiteboard talk in the war room when they contemplated going into the season with this depth at centre ice.

"Now that's what I call progress, Jim!"

Ha..ha.....Crosby, Malkin et/al will feast on that lineup.....Ryan Miller will be like the head duck in a shooting gallery.......just can't see anything other than 0-2 to end up the road swing....next up, the trade deadline.

Would love to see Granlund with Megna and Chaput. Let see him carry a Line

As much as i don't think Granlund is a very good player, as a trigger man exclusively, I think he's can be okay.

This line up is comical though. Obv just looking to see if Gaunce can get in a groove in the offensive zone. Maybe bring some confidence back down the Utica to grow with it.

I'm interested in seeing what Gaunce does with good linemates. Unfortunately it's in a situation where we are most certainly going to be destroyed. If he was stuck on the fourth line I doubt I'd watch this game.

Maybe Miller steals this one for us, but that's pretty much the only chance of victory.

I liked the move to send Gaunce down at the time so that he could get some extra time in offensive situations, and he took full advantage. Now due to these injuries, he should be in a good position here to parlay that Utica stint into some meaningful minutes. If he's with Burrows and Hansen I think he should have a good game, maybe show a little bit offensively.

Whoa...
If there ever was a game in which we needed our PP, D and Miller to carry the load, its this one.

Here's hoping our PP can score again vs a PK that's actually worse than ours!

Pens outscore their defensive woes. We generally can't. Trap it up, grind it down, and we got a chance...

Have a feeling Gaunce will be held pointless and this game will be traded as damning proof that he's never able to get a goal.

After the first period they move Hansen with the twins, Granlund between Burrows and Eriksson, and Gaunce barely plays the rest of the ways.

The ONLY way we win this game, is if The sedins go 2011 on the pens, or the Pens take a ton of stupid penalties and we score multiple PP goals.

Make my day.
They must have zero faith in Granlund to be able to play centre at NHL level. I can't think of a better opportunity to try him there. They have have Hansen and Eriksson who can play RW top 6, holes at 2/3 centre, and they play Granlund at RW.
