It is their power play

There we go. Thank you

We can just put out a blanket statement for all metrics relating to special teams...they are very very bad.

13 pages in less than a day vs. 6 pages in 3 days for the last win/shutout. Never change Bruins "fans". Never change.
Such is life.

People typically don't write product reviews unless it's terri-bad. Same idea applies.

I agree with the Marchand penalty as it was just a backbreaker, & team captain no less. That said however ,I think the biggest problem here is Sweeney .
After watching the Rangers last night, and expecting a jolt from the JT Miller trade, you must realize that was a great non move from Sweeney, for his non move. That is not a knock-on Miller, but that contract and age, wise to stay away with those results from the rest of the team.

His antics recently and two coaches having serious issues with him tell me it's time for him to go. Thanks for all the memories, so long and farewell.

Wait, what? What two coaches have had "serious issues" with him?

You cannot teach skills. You can teach the defensive side of the game, positioning, but hard to teach goal scoring. Sure, teach to hang out around the net for rebounds, but ability to shoot to the open spaces is hard to learn as a player. Most shots I see from the B's land right in the goalies chest.

Not sure this is worth saying, but that statement is 100% false.

The announcers were sure pumping his tires, though. You'd have thought the Rangers are now a shoo-in for the Cup the way they were going on about Miller.

I'm not even going to attempt to speak on how the contract will pan out, but I actually really liked Miller's game from what I saw last night. Far more north-south than most big point getters around the league.

I think it maybe a good idea to let the rest of the year play out Greg adding Miller's impact on NY. If they squeak in and face Washington they have better chance than Boston advancing as they now have a real #1C, bit better D and Quick in a pinch is better than Korpisalo.

Now that said, I wouldn't have traded for Miller given his age.

Why fans in quotes?

Because if you only post to dump on the team after a loss, I question how much of a fan you really are. YMMV, but after a loss, the last thing I want to do is post in here. I tend to put it out of my head and look to the next game. Basically, I enjoy wins, I don't enjoy bitching about losses.

I'm the direct opposite. When I write reviews, it's usually because I like the product and want to let people know. I've only written one bad review in my lifetime, and that was for a product I really liked, but they gave it an upgrade that made it no longer work with my TV.

Consider yourself lucky...lol.

I was having a back and forth with another poster yesterday, about Whalstrom, and one of my points in favor of him the lineup is that he actually shoots the puck. Last night he was nowhere to be seen, criticize him if you want but don't whine about the lack of shots at the same time, and I am not intending to rip you Rocco.
He's been mostly invisible since we picked him up. I'd rather give Lysell a shot for the rest of the year. See what he's got in the bigs.

Not knocking Miller the player, just the age and contract, but for the team not to get energized by obtaining a player like Miller pretty sad, and the way the Bruins are playing, if he came here we would probably see similar results and let's be honest that would drive us off the bridge.

I watched and did not realize they were playing last night.

We can piss and moan about the power play, but if you keep putting the same parts out there who's fault is that.
At one point, maybe still is, wasn't Chris Kelly the PP coach ?
Certainly in some cases you don't have to be great at something to coach/teach it, but hmmmmm.

Yeah, I don't know.

By the lineup card, I think this team is a bubble team. Perhaps just below. Ie right about where they are at the moment. I genuinely like how they play some nights and rarely do I think them losing can be chalked up to a lack of "fire" or "intensity" as is often implied here. As I've said before, the Boston Bruins are not simply a contender or playoff team by default.

I think adding a guy like Miller could very well have given them a boost, at least in the short-term that perhaps could really help toward the goal of making the playoffs this year. That being said, I'm with you otherwise. The contract is a significant risk to take on in a player who is 31 years of age. And that's not even considering the pieces going the other way.

What impact

What impact would trading E. Lindholm for Miller would have?
My point is individual players have an impact. Miller has been impactful
so far. Going to make things easier for Mika Z and even Kreider.

Trading Lindholms contract for Miller would be a win, neither contract will age well, but Miller will give you more over the term than Lindholm.

Montogomery shredded him on the bench and Sacco benched him. The captain, The leader.

Why in the hell would you take a chance on this type of play when you are leading by 1 goal and just holding on. Very stupid move and no excuse.
He just isn't playing smart anymore.
