I said to myself get a point and overtime whatever happens I'm fine. They blew it. Our powerplay is killing us in fact they scored on us when we had it. Pathetic. Show kelly the door! Thanks for the 2011 memories but leave.
Nah, it's all on DS. He's responsible for why so many things this team attempts don't work. One major problem on this team that doesn't get enough criticism is the B's complete failure on board battles. The B's lose most of them.

Things could be worse.I follow QMJHL and I was reading report a D man for Eagles quit the team & went back home to Czech Republic.Made phone call to buddy mine and truth that's not reported is the player turned puck over other team scored. He then left ice went to dressing room & took his gear off.The Trainor told head coach who went to room asking wtf is wrong.Anyways he was told he done they don't want quitters .So could be worse I guess.
I guess he Czeched out.

I wish but age gets everyone. We were spoiled with those 2 . Impossible to duplicate that 1 2 punch. Maybe poitras?
Poitras does seem to have potential. I believe he will develop into a very good player. Same with Lohrei. I just checked Lohrei and discovered he's 24 years old. I thought he was a few years younger.
Poitras, otoh, is only 20.

Dunno why but I went to the B's yahoo page.

Kind of difficult when you have the most penalty minutes and 25th in penalty kill%.
Oh and 2nd worse power play.

It's like this team is incapable of putting together more than 2 good games in a row.

They stunk, piss poor effort, the only reason why they had a lead in that game because Shesterkin let in a stinker of a 2nd goal.

Can't make a breakout pass, evidentially can't shoot the puck and when they do, it misses the net. Can't cover in their own end. 2 of the three goals were off of miscues. 1st one was off a brutal Carlo turnover, 3rd one was because our dogshit excuse of a power play somehow means more to the team trying to kill it.

The fact Pasta is somehow 11 points above PPG with this shit heap of a team around him, on top of the rough start he had speaks to how talented the guy is. Can't say the same for any of the sad sacks on this team outside of maybe Marchand.

Even with the shitty effort it was still winnable, but nope, not for these guys.

What an awful game. 2 quick goals and a couple of really good shifts at the start of the second period. Other than that, bleh. And as an experiment (iykyk) Trent didn’t do much to affect the game in a positive way (along with most of the roster of course).

At one point I thought Beecher was going to skate right through the boards ala Forest Gump lol.

The guy has stone hands and almost no offensive instincts. I am actually surprised that he hasn't been benched a lot more, or even waived to Providence.

Beecher is a late round pick that somehow got taken in the first round.

I know drafting is far from a science but how does a guy with that much of a negative in the offensive column go that high? Hands of stone killed many a kids i grew up with dreams of playing anything beyond bantam, yet it somehow didn't for Beecher?

He has good size and maybe the best wheels on the team, and probably the best, or close to the best everywhere he's played. I would say that is a big part of it. He never really has been a point producer, though, so yeah, it's kind of a mystery why Sweeney took him the first. He plays like a 4th rounder that you are happy managed to get that far.

Just caught up here. Same guys seemed to stand out unfortunately from a negative point of view.

Carlo is goo for one GA nightly at this point. Blame Coyle if you want on that one but if he eats that puck nothing happens. Guy has heard footsteps since Wilson put his head through the glass.

Beecher is….something. That they continue to roll him out there on a pk that wouldn’t stop my ball hockey team from scoring is….also something.

The lack of a true offensive dman is glaring on a nightly basis. This group makes me miss Wideman.

As for the rest of the forwards, if they don’t commit to winning board battles they’re gonna lose most nights. Tonight they lost way too many of them.

Korpisalo was fine. Pastrnak should never be buying his own meals. Marchand needs to be smarter, guy knows he’s never getting the benefit of the doubt

Sacco, Kelly and Leach should of been shown the door with Monty.

They'd be in a better situation right now had they overhauled the entire coaching staff instead of just handing the keys to Sacco and retaining all the assistants.
It's the easy/lazy way. Honestly though I think it's the front office feeling that it gives continuity?
It's extremely difficult to hold interviews etc, especially since the 99% of the best coaches and asst. Coaches are already spoken for.
I would've done it over the summer but Sweeney IMO takes the "if it isn't broken, don't fix it" practice. To some extent it's correct but Monty has given him more than enough ammo to fire him and the assistants with a fresh group.
I keep thinking that Sweeneely makes a mistake, learns from it and doesn't repeat it but now I realize that they keep finding new ways, new mistakes.
Anyway, IMO the big coaching screw up was keeping Monty & Co here well past their "best by" date.
Last month Dom put up a picture of a clip that was aired on a national broadcast of Sacco shoving C. Kelly's arm out of the way. Sacco was explaining something to a couple of players (IIRC, using a tablet)and It looked like Kelly was being disrespectful of Sacco's position and got between the coach and players he was speaking to, so since he was short on time and patience he pushed Kelly's arm out of the way.
I wish there was more on the above subject out there for discussion but it would probably exacerbate the issue.
I also heard (I believe it may have been on the "What's Bruin" show the other day) that there may be cliques forming similar to the Joe Thornton, Nick Boynton Bruins back in the day. That "room" was damaged and it's possible that this issue is happening now that the leadership is weakened with no Chara, Bergeron, DK, Seidenberg, Boychuk etc. etc.
Marchand is doing his best, Coyle stands up and takes questions from the media as does Carlo but the rest of them would rather hide under the linoleum than answer hard questions.
Just seems like a mess all the way around.
IMO Charlie Jacobs did a masterful job in fixing the broken franchise back in 2006. It's too bad he couldn't have kept Jeff Gorton when he revamped the team from GM down. He found Peter Chiarelli who promptly went to work and rebuilt the team. PC made a mistake in hiring Dave Lewis, but after a dismal first year he fired Lewis and hired Claude Julien.
It's been almost 20 years since then.
We've gotten our money's worth from Charlie Jacobs decisions back then. It's time for him to step in again.

McAvoy was all alone late in 3rd about 10 feet in front of the net and missed everything .Beautiful setup to him but Shame he missed.
