Tonight is a huge win for this team's future beyond this season. Should be that much clearer to Drury and friends to sell sell sell. I was hoping they'd come out and perform like crap, and they absolutely surpassed my expectations!

The problem is - and this was something that literally no one could possibly have seen coming of course - they’ve now given away their first round pick for a contract that they are going to soon regret being locked into when the player they spent it on turns into a 65 point player here.


They have to walk a fine line to win enough to make sure Pittsburgh gets that pick this year in a weak draft.

Drury has f***ed this situation so bad trying to save his paycheck that we have to hope things go bad but not too bad so that we can start our rebuild NEXT year instead of this one.

Am I overanalyzing his phrasing? Maybe something lost in translation? It sounds entitled to expect a good outcome. You have to work and earn a win, every single night. You can't just expect to win. That's exactly the mentality that makes for weak teams. That's exactly the mentality that gets teams swept.
