There are people on this forum who haven't made a post not about the same player in days.

I'm sorry, I can't help you if you don't see the difference between expressing frustrations and being toxic.

This board just ruined the thread of a non-Rangers tournament because they couldn't stop making fun of the Rangers that were playing in it.

If somebody said "look, I wanna send this whole team to Pluto, and Fox would be 33 by the time they're good," I would discuss that point.

Instead it's:

-"I don't like his neck"
-Blatant antisemitism (which we deleted, obviously)
-Making fun of the "Fox Mafia"
-Trading him for garbage
-Passive aggressive shots at people who happen to still like some players on this team

I'm not perfect. I've been mean about things. I've preached about a few things. That's why Leo and I are asking everyone to try and be a bit more constructive. Talk about taking things personally.

Ruined it for you, because you’re too sensitive - or either so principled and virtuous that you NEED to shut that shit down, OR so married to the notion that your opinions are superior that you can’t help yourself but be baited into addressing it. As a poster, you have become increasingly overbearing, dismissive and superior and it has been commented on, just not publicly. Just because some peoples’ comments are crude and direct and yours are veiled in scholarly, academic superiority, doesn’t make them actually less egregious. They’re just needlessly pompous (and unwarrantedly so, because your actual hockey knowledge and pedigree is mundane - beating the same drum louder doesn’t make you right, and collecting some likes and nods of approval on a message board doesn’t either - look at my post to like ratio; does it lend an ounce of credence to my posts? No way. I post unhinged shit at times.)

Plenty of people just… scroll past comments and content they don’t like or disagree with. It’s kind of like the virtual equivalent of being an adult. People who actually whined to mods about it, again, need to go touch grass. That’s kind of the virtual equivalent of being a petulant, entitled 16 year old. We’re not talking about truly offensive or inappropriate comments; we’re talking about opinions you disagree with and/or are “tired of”. Woe is you. No one cares. You can scroll past it or ignore the poster, but if you think whining about people joking around over how crap our players are and making fun of/criticizing them means that those comments should be moderated to make you feel better… you’re not built for life in the real world.

You’re a moderator on a fringe website for a nearly fringe sport. We’re not elected officials. We’re Joe schmoes who volunteer to clean the place up a bit. The gestapo act paired with the snide superiority in your posting has gotten a lot older, in my opinion, than Rangers fans venting their frustrations and making fun of the absolutely indefensible performance of the team this year. That’s justifiably angry fans coping in a harmless space. You’ve been trending more and more high and mighty annually for several years. It’s gross.

In in between the benches guy for Buffalo got hit by a puck. Yelled f*** live. Was funny and he’s okay. They were talking about it and he made a comment about making more saves than Igor lol.
