Savard is no untouchable but with an overpay, Hughes would be hard pressed to accept, I would have to believe.
His contract makes him untouchable, he’s a bottom pair on any contender and Montreal will not retain on multi-years

Meh.

It's saturday night, but the bell center is the place to be tonight, and it has nothing to do with hockey.

So cryptic a response but frankly his whole injury status has been poorly communicated so why be clear now?

Sounds pretty clear to me. His injury has got to the point where he is progressing very slowly.

Hughes has never retained on a multi-year contract. He’s been all about generating cap room. I don’t know that Savard’s overpaid, that contract seems fair market value to me.

David Savard I think will be in some demand. He immediately helps bolster any defense and has played on a team that won 4 rounds.
I hope he is kept but I am sure Hughes will listen to any offer.

I wonder what soft, injury prone, former first rounder that never panned out, our management team can get for him?

If HuGo are dead-set on another 1st, they're going to have move someone more valuable like an Anderson.
Eddy and money at most, will get 2nds - and even then, contingent on how much they play imho

And I know we're all excited to see Dadonov / Drouin / Hoffman dealt, but is it worth it to HuGo to even move them for 5ths when we actually don't have enough bodies to finish the season?
Nobody is moving The only assets are injured The Healthy ones are crap. Why would other teams want crap when We don't want the crap?

A ridiculous argument. They want veterans and depth because they believe they are a contender. And there is little risk with an expiring contract if they don't overpay. Habs are rebuilding. Some vets have to go (and some nobody will want- Drouin)

Habs/Leafs hnic I don't care about the tank for a night.

Moneyhands probably played his last game here, teams saw him put up 17pts in 25gp for us and if they didn't we have the tapes. No need to risk injuries.

Boston/Tampa are prime candidates after the Leafs and Rangers acquisitions.

We hit Roy and Farrell with 4ths. I’ll take it. Also helps the tank

Where have I seen this kind of comment before?

Oh, yes …

We’re Habs fans. No one ever said we were reasonable

Will the O'Reilly Factor give the Laffs a bump or will he be hobbled by the Shoeman?

I got nothing for Acciari....Leafs Aquiaried him maybe?

Big trade, puts them over the top, first round respect in the handshake line guaranteed now.

Would be nice if the Habs called up a couple of Rocket demen and sit Wideman. The season is lost so why not give the future guys a taste of the show?
What???

Wideman should be playing min 25TOI per game for remainder of the season, in fact the objective should be to give him closer to 30TOI by putting him out there against the other teams top guns.

Wiseman’s job tonight should be to shadow Matthews & Tavares - double shift if necessary

I might need to take a nap before that game... I don't have a good feeling about tonight but I need to stay awake so that I can be pissed either at leafs or the Habs or refs or just somebody. It takes energy. Just thinking ahead here...
