I think this is how he is usually. Has a few dominant games here and there, uses his frame and size then goes MIA for extremely long stretches. The only time you notice him is when he tries to be too cute with the puck.

Yeah but people use cost per point to tell me how great he is even though they made fun of melnyk for it
That’s not true. Batherson was our best forward basically from when Jacques took over to the end of last season, and then he was great to start the season. He’s been bad for 1.5 months and the narrative has become that he sucks every 3 games.

I think he just got the air knocked out of him and then was pulled by a spotter.
If you've ever had the air knocked out of you in a contact sport, it always looks really dramatic like that and for a minute or two until you can talk everybody thinks you got taken out like Jason Street.

It helps when the guy he’s chasing thinks he’s playing pond hockey
Because they’re not offensive superstars. This team is a team that’s wins by committee. And will have to unless some crazy trade or or draft pick happens.
I can’t watch Greig handle the puck anymore. It’s f***ing ghastly.

I think the thing we miss the more is not even skill it really is speed . Stu can skate but that's about it for our forward. Our D are pretty much all good skaters but the forward are slow as f*** cant even tell who is Giroux by only the skating cause they got same speed as him
