Not a great game by Ed. Weird O-zone pinches and a lot of blue line turn overs. Hope he bounces back

I think our 1st line lost us the game too. No points, -2 and Kasper turned the puck over which cost us their 4th goal. It's hard to co e back 1 to 4.

He had an awful 1st but better second.

That was just a bad game all around. The Wings weren't ready to play. The defense had way to many odd man rushes/breakaways. The goaltending was subpar.
Justin Holl was his usual terrible self. He always make the worse decision whenever he's on the ice.

It's part of what makes Tampa so irritating. They seem to capitalize on any rare opportunity they get.

If they play like that down the stretch theyre making playoffs. That was a case of a really skilled team burying their chances and the wings not getting some breaks. They played really well, especially the second and third. The second might be their best period of hockey this season

Team Definitely played well for the most part. Kane’s feel with the puck looked amazing today. Still some of the softest hands in the game. I think he is about to go on a heater.

Just one of those games that gets away from you. There will always be a few every year.

Compher was bad. I understand it was his first game back, but I can’t make up a story that he looked alright.

That is what great or very talented teams do. Why even when they play weaker they are still in games. I miss that being us.

All in all not that bad that we lost. 15-5-1 is not how good I think our team is, so we have had it really good the past 21 games under Todd.

I will echo what others said, I feel the Wings were the better team. Controlled the majority of play but Tampa makes the most out of mistakes. They still have those game breaker type guys around the roster.

Todd got the team and coaching change surge to get the team to where they should be. I feel like Lalondes suck factor and Todds surge has somewhat cancelled each other. Come out of the break basically where most fans hoped they would be to start the season with a couple of nice surprise impactful rookie performances in Ed (he's a rookie to me), Kasper and Johansson.

My only problem with Todd is his continued use of gustufson on the 2nd pp and with the goalie pulled instead of using ed. It literally makes 0 sense to me. Gustufson has done nothing all season in terms of getting points or setting up key plays. For the life of me I don't know why he keeps getting this. Drives me nuts.

This is a loss I can live with.

They looked sharp offensively, I thought Vasi stood quite tall despite letting in 3 goals.

However, they had too many turnovers and goalies didn't bail them out.

goalies have been good. not gonna throw them under the bus after 1 bad game. if next year cossa comes up n plays as good as lyon this year would be a good year for him.

Poor goaltending lost this game. All 4 lines played well. My favourite defender Gus didn’t look horrible out there, neither did Holl. All in all good effort by the team.

This is wrong. The goaltending, specifically Lyon really put the team behind the 8 ball, but the Veleno-Compher-Berggren line looked like absolute shit from where I watched in person. Holl also played a game that doesn't endear him to fans.

In total, the team played well but made some extremely costly mistakes and put themselves on their heels for extended periods of time in the first. It didn't amount to a huge shot advantage for Tampa, but their opportunities were very dangerous. And then you get stuck playing from behind against a world class goalie for the rest of the game.

It's so refreshing to hear specifics about the game from the coach. And that's not just a shot at Lalonde. A lot of coaches talk without saying anything but cliches.
