Nmc for first three seasons.

Makes sense, add a bit of stability when the equity market has been crashing so severely for so long, good to lock in a team and not have to try to do stuff with moving and the family doing things and all that stuff, you know.

You're comparing KAM to a forward that has less points in his second year with the team than his first. And then to a forward, who in his first year, had been largely invisible for a #1 pick for the majority of the season. Then you say Barron has shown so much growth in his 4 games with the team with 1G/0A/-2. I mean, I guess you can ascertain player growth in 4 f***ing games. ¯\_(ツ)_/¯

With fans like you, I do hope we trade away young players at the first signs of a tough season so they can grow in their prime years under better tutelage elsewhere just to spite the likes of you.. I mean, if this was the case, how many Rangers would we have dumped to the curb by now? Early in the season? Middle of the season?

1. I never said trade him for nothing. I said trade him for the coveted young center that we desperately need. Otherwise send him to the Ahl which he desperately needs.

2. kakkos game was immensely better this year.

3. barrons game grew greatly in the ahl and then translated to the nhl

His downfall started when trouba was still playing.

he isnt learning. And now he is playing with fox, who is extremely smart.
He just seems not to learn at all. He makes the same bad reads every game.

I think he actually is worse than hajek right now, but makes up for it bc of his raw ability.

quite a few wondered about him over the years. It was J.D. who raved about his development. Seems to have stalled. Was hoping he would be more physical.

like i said. I think he will develop onto a top 4 dman. I just question if he can hit the next level. I dont think he will.

i think his size and potential would land us the young center who we need.

our version of the seth jones for ryjo deal.

that worked out great for Columbus, not Nashville.

KEEP KAM. You do not trade away talents like this at 21. There's less than a handful of players I'd trade him for.

i think he’s too big a body to give up on so quickly. Kinda why i am disappointed with his physical play. At the least, get physical. He is appox 6’5 so com’on.

KAM's athletic ability is not in question. Growing pains are not a concern for me. The glaring concern is his tendency to avoid being physical and just stick check when just using the body would have been far more effective. He also doesn't clear the crease after a whistle. He just skates away and avoids confrontation. THAT was a HUGE issue in the previous 4 games. It is like he has no stomach for the sandpaper element of the game. He can skate amazingly, he has an active stick with a ridiculous reach, but he is softer than Charmin most of the time. He doesn't need to ever fight or be an agitator, but being 6'5" and not using that as a major asset of your game is concerning. Lots of guys that are rookies come in and play a physical game. I don't see how being a rookie has any impact on that. I get how being a rookie affects reads and knowing when to jump in on a play, but using the body or shielding the goalie after a whistle should not be foreign concepts.

I get the size, I just think he will use his body more like malik than a chara.

If we could get a lundell for him i pull the trigger. We need a top center prospect. We have other very good d prospects, but none that i feel can land the top center without adding more.

i would even seriously consider him for Larkin who i think would help this team immensely now and in the future

Saw someone on Twitter talking about DQ yelling at KK on the bench, anyone else catch that? Was only barely paying attention to that tire fire...

He’s still a puppy. You can’t expect him to be like fox, or crushing people with hits. That’s not his game. Kid had no AHL time and came in right from camp. This ice time now will be invaluable to him growing as a player. As he matures I expect him to be more aggressive and assertive on the puck

Miller is Staal 2.0 I'd trade him once Lundkvist proves he is an NHL player in camp. he already played in a men's league in Europe

I don't think KAM had a great season personally, even when the tires were being pumped relentlessly by MSG, but it would be foolish to trade him this offseason. He deserves at least one more season or two, especially if they put him in the AHL for seasoning. This offseason should be about deciding whether or not the supposed "core" players are players that this team can win with when things get tighter and the stakes higher. Two straight years they proved they do not have what it takes, zero compete.

Seriously one of the worst runs I can remember in my lifetime of supporting this team starting with basically Martin taking out Trouba. What a way to end the year everyone. Not that I can really blame the AHL players we had on the ice tonight. But man this is brutal.

Well, both those players are worth more so you need to ante up.

maybe he should have been sent down then. Confidence does grow yet i don’t think you need to teach aggressiveness. If they don’t bite when they’re puppies they likely won’t bite later. At 6’5 he should be a bit mor aggressive imo.

I agree with putting him in the AHL for next season, however, if we can get a top not center for him as the centerpiece, i pull the trigger every time. We desperately need a center, and have an abundance of dmen.

imo, the one to sell at a high on the big club is Buch and in the minors is Nils.

Yea but he may not have his man strength yet. We saw this year Chytil actually looking like a grown man on the ice. Sometimes even though these kids look the part they are still immature. I wish he was more physical as well, I expect well see him using his body and speed to cut down angles and shield the puck and all the good things that go along with it. But I don’t think he’ll ever be a bruiser like Schneider. Don’t think it’s in his DNA. Still has the tools to make a hell of a defenseman with that size, speed, and reach. I think we see a very different player in a year or so. And honestly, if Jones turns into a similar player to fox, maybe the rangers would be more comfortable with Lindgren, Jones, Robertson down the left side.. if that occurs Miller will be one hell of a trade chip to cash in
