He's won his last 3 starts and was .960 in his last loss to boot.
So 3-1 with a 2.00 and .935 over the last 4 games.
He deserves regular rotation if he keeps that up, and I'm guessing with ullmark returning from a back injury especially, they want to ease his work load.
I wouldn't be surprised if they split the starts 50-50 while Forsberg provides this type of goaltending.
This is cherry picking.
He's been better in 2025 but overall he has a .901 SV% in the new year, which isn't exactly elite level goaltending.
Merilainen has a .930 SV% in the new year. He's obviously the guy who should be splitting starts with Ullmark while he's not 100%.
