Between the officiating and bounces and some soft goals it felt like they were destined to lose tonight but they figured out a way to pull out the win.

Man this has been a ridiculously fun turnaround to witness.

It's abit sad that this is the bar we set for a defenseman being paid 3.4M. But yeah, i agree. He had a invisible night, which is the best we can hope for.

The last time I thought this he went right back to Holl'n it up again.

I see this as MANNN he played 13 minutes. We need to get it down to 0. I am actually a little miffed that Yzerman hasn't made any move, even a Walman esque find a diamond type manoeuvre. There has to be lower end options that are out there that don't sacrifice the rebuild, but get Holl the heck out of the lineup. Even in his 13 minutes he made 3 or 4 just dumb plays and turned his shifts into chaos when they should have been simple plays.

I don't think either were bad, but I sort of agree on Kaser's voice. His calls aren't bad but the voice just doesn't really do it for me. DD I think could develop into a pretty decent color guy, but he needs to loosen up a bit. He has pretty good insights, but hasn't developed his voice yet. We are just incredibly spoiled because Mick and Ken are two of the best in the biz.

I thought the best interchange between the two of them was after DDK kinda messed up his ad copy read and ended with a "wow" at himself. The Kaser said "Wow, yeah, the phones are lighting up after that read!" and they both laughed it up a bit.

That was the relaxed byplay we're spoiled with.

Awful awful awful. Feels like listening to a baseball game with those two. Nothing has made me want to fall asleep faster on these late night games than their droning voices.

There have been a lot of in-season coaching changes in NHL history. I would bet $2 there's never been a better first 20 games for the new coach than Todd''s 15-4-1.. .

Finding an upgrade for Holl would do wonders for this team.

At this point his contract is a sunk cost. There's no reason to give anything up to get rid of him. And you still need to find someone to fill those minutes.

I know it seems like any AHL plug can take those minutes but the reality is they generally look as bad or worse. The Wings just went on another 7 game win streak with Holl in the lineup. The best case scenario is he continues to look like a decent bottom pairing guy.
