2nd goal was absolutely stoppable and 3rd was questionable. If that was Georgiev this place would be in meltdown mode.

I think this is a fair take. Second shot was definitely stoppable, but a really great shot. 3rd one was a little less stoppable to be honest. First one was a "no prayer" situation.

That’s what consistency does for you. Hank had bad games. One of the best goalies of all time, undoubtedly. It’s not as if he never had a 5 or 6 goal against game. Georgiev hasn’t done anything to earn the benefit of the doubt. Shesterkin has done everything to earn it.

Sure, but it’s not really because they can’t play offense. The problem is they can’t play defense either. And the D in general leaves our goalies exposed all the time and Igor nails them out. Team D is and has been a problem. We know we need to address the depth scoring and add some cheap middle six guys at the deadline, but the guys we’re rolling out there right now aren’t just incapable of helping out offensively - they’re not doing anything that warrants an NHL roster spot.

Yeah but not now. You don't sell assets during a season where you have no shot to win. Next year, we'll no better exactly what we need to push over the top. We need a 2C. If you can get a young, cost controlled 2C that's the only deal you make. Otherwise, it's a panic move for no f***ing reason.
