Could be a few reasons

PK a different game, Stoll is a perfect example, average ES defender but great PK'er.

If they weren't awful defensively they wouldn't give up so many goals at ES.

I used to live in Sharks territory, with Sharks fans for roommates. Remenda really isn't bad. He's not even the worst in the Pacific division.
