Bob earned his money in that third period. Glad to see RyJo come alive. 17 for Cam? Gawd I love DMac. There is a rumor that Horton played tonite. Not sure I could confirm it.

Lets' get 2 more on Saturday.

I've made my feelings clear, I prefer solid, tough hockey to fighting on ice. I've long been a boxing fan, so it's not that I'm squeamish about fighting, it's just that I go to the Arena to see the greatest athletes in the world excell at one of the toughest sports on the planet. If I want to see half-assed fights, I can visit any number of bars in town. Yes, everyone credited Foligno with the turning point, and good for him, I'd just have preferred it if he had taken the kid's head off with a big hit. That might have had the same effect and might have actually been hockey.

Hockey at every other level does without it, so I don't believe it's necessary. I don't make the rules and I don't get my preferences. My opinion changes nothing.

You know your namesake had 365 PIM's in 383 games, just sayin'

Horton was fine...Smart play big checks on the boards and ZERO PENALTIES.

DMAC is an offensive Juggernaut.

Beat Florida. Then Pray till the break.

On a side note. Would have loved to Dalton Prout to scrap with Tom Wilson. that would have been a scrap.

Did we ever need the W. Good stuff.

With that said, I don't like the fact our PP went -1/7. We aren't going to win a lot of games if our PP can't stay warm game in and out.

We were 0/7.

And it is quite disconcerting, especially against a team that wasn't playing very well at all.

I read that at negative 1 for 7, as in, gave up a shorty and didn't score any.

Good game. Not great, some things they need to work on obviously like the PP. Thought letting the Caps back in it wasn't great either, but overall a very solid effort and production.

Joey is a beast.

Bob was good tonight. Made a couple of real nice stops. Overall he was a big plus for the team tonight.

Mackenzie has been trying to shoulder much of the load these past few games, kudos to him.

Atkinson, Dubi, and Calvert played like we expected them to.

I want to see a move for an actual 3rd line center with decent size and can win face-offs to play between Umberger and Foligno. Johansen can do it, and he can do it well, but I think we're headed in the direction that we need a center besides Joey, Dubi, Arty, and Mack who can focus on grit/defense/face-offs. Letestu isn't that and Jenner isn't at that point (yet).

I'm not sure I agree, but I have been wondering if there's any way possible JK could swing a deal for both Ott and Tallinder. Doubtful because of both of contract and cap situations, but that would be a nice deadline deal.

True, and I saw him fight numerous times in Pittsburgh, but what I remember most about him are the beautiful hipchecks he threw.

Hockey, like all sports, has evolved since 1960. I think it's moving toward less fighting, but I doubt that it will ever be totally eliminated. It's a tough game, played by very physical and competetive men, so I'm sure you'll continue to have fights to enjoy.

Perhaps we can schedule 10-15 games against Washington. Have one ready and available whenever we need a pick me up.

Big win. I still hold my breath a little when Ovechkin gets the puck (regardless of being -5). I like the Horton-Johansen-Jenner line. If we keep Gaborik, it will be interesting to see what happens after the Olympics. This game was real chippy with some borderline hits. I really see Washington becoming our big rival. The best games this year have been with Washington and Philadelphia.

I respect you enjoy what you enjoy, and me as well. I'm just surprised, you are in a very small minority, but it's all good. I'll never agree on that point, but it is what it is. You could always be a Red Wings fan, no fights there to be concerned with! haha, they play that Olympian style you enjoy. Never see a fan go for a cup of coffee during a fight!

When your team has

Johansen
Dubinsky
Anisimov
Letestu
Mackenzie

You're doing much better than most clubs in grit/defense/face-offs. That's not to say more isn't better, but every club is trying to get those elements, and is willing to pay up substantially for it.
