Good game, back on track, I like the Joey line with Horton.. Bob makes me nervous sometimes but he played well overall… There was only a short period were they let off the gas but the 5th goal ended that…

WSH wasn't much of a test tonight. Let's see how we do in California... though that's almost too hard.

Did we ever need the W. Good stuff.

With that said, I don't like the fact our PP went -1/7. We aren't going to win a lot of games if our PP can't stay warm game in and out.

Carry this over to Saturday night, then worry about the golden state.

Bottle line good win....within the division every win is huge.

Personally, while I love we got the win, it was not a very entertaining game with all the penalties. Watching each team clear the puck to the other end all night long is not exciting hockey

We were 0/7.

And it is quite disconcerting, especially against a team that wasn't playing very well at all.

I'll take it if they can put up five without a power play goal. Won't work every time, but they also won't go 0/7 every night, either.

This was a strange game. More than a dozen penalties, and no powerplay goals by either team. Two shorties and the rest 5 on 5.

We finally get a night where it doesn't snow/isn't bitterly cold and attendance didn't suck.

Good sign.

Looks like a good mid-week crowd. Only 14 seats available in 102. In Lower 101, looks like about 12 tickets that are paired or in 3's and then just a scattering of singles. Might see 16,500+ tonite.

Nice game by the Jackets. Hope they aren't looking past Florida.

That was the perfect blue print for Blue Jackets hockey, that's how they need to play to win against the good teams and in the playoffs! Couple fights, lots of big hits and Washington didn't know what to do when we brought the body! Props to Boone on his first fight in the show! Foligno set the tone, everything shifted after that fight, all the boys were pumped! Great game all around, no complaints here! Let's get one more before that awful roadie!

So, if you have nobody who can fight him, why do it? There will be a chance to get a shot on him, later, clean or not. Why have a top six forward cut up and out for 10? Even a cheap shot will only get two, won't it? I know there are reasons for it, I'd just rather see Wilson taken out on a hockey play, where he's at a disadvantage, rather than join him at his game and fight.

What do you have so much against fighting? I don't get it...That was the turning point of the game, the announcers said it, Atkinson said it, and RyJo mentioned it. It's a key part of the game.

Good game. Not great, some things they need to work on obviously like the PP. Thought letting the Caps back in it wasn't great either, but overall a very solid effort and production.

Joey is a beast.

Bob was good tonight. Made a couple of real nice stops. Overall he was a big plus for the team tonight.

Mackenzie has been trying to shoulder much of the load these past few games, kudos to him.

Atkinson, Dubi, and Calvert played like we expected them to.

I want to see a move for an actual 3rd line center with decent size and can win face-offs to play between Umberger and Foligno. Johansen can do it, and he can do it well, but I think we're headed in the direction that we need a center besides Joey, Dubi, Arty, and Mack who can focus on grit/defense/face-offs. Letestu isn't that and Jenner isn't at that point (yet).

I've made my feelings clear, I prefer solid, tough hockey to fighting on ice. I've long been a boxing fan, so it's not that I'm squeamish about fighting, it's just that I go to the Arena to see the greatest athletes in the world excell at one of the toughest sports on the planet. If I want to see half-assed fights, I can visit any number of bars in town. Yes, everyone credited Foligno with the turning point, and good for him, I'd just have preferred it if he had taken the kid's head off with a big hit. That might have had the same effect and might have actually been hockey.

Hockey at every other level does without it, so I don't believe it's necessary. I don't make the rules and I don't get my preferences. My opinion changes nothing.

What Wilson (I think it was Wilson?) did to MacKenzie tonight is exactly how you should handle it.
